Runescape Vs World Of Warcraft

I choose WoW, idgaf if its 15 bucks a month atleast its worth it

 

RuneScape sucks now. I would choose RuneScape back in the good old 317 days, but now I choose WoW. It's worth 15 bucks a month but not worth all the expansion prices added onto it...

 

As of right now, WoW.

RuneScape just doesn't hold it's own anymore.

 

I quited World of Warcraft like 3 months ago.
But i still pick World of Warcraft because it is cheaper (At least for me)
Looks better, way better game play, way better PVP and a lot more.

Never really got into WoW, was think of it I have the CDs and all that stuff but IDK If I want to get addicted to another game...

Runescape is gay atm but I still enjoy some parts of it.

I pick Runescape, don't like WoW only cause of its price, the addiction, the need for a more powerful pc and in general, the low lifes that play it (yes Runescape does have its low lifes too, but I think WoW is worse).

 

I choose Runescape. I hate WoW, ugly graphics, annoying quest system, doesn't interest me at all, I don't like the gameplay either.

 

Played WoW back in 2007, wasn't my thing. I got to lvl 70 on an undead rogue and all, but it just became so boring.

 

First i dont get it, why do you make a poll of which you recall the first option gay. Only reason people call runescape gay is because its free, almost no processing requirements and alot of 12year olds play the game.

If thats the only reason your crazy.

I rather think that wow sucks. I took the effort to play it and it sucks badass.
I dont get it why wow is so amazing, only reason for me is that the game is so user friendly, due to the low requirements. I dont get it either that all mmorps are based on low lever graphics either. If you play modern warfare 2 you need 6times the processing power compared to wow. And millions of players play mw2 and thats just only regarding the xbox 360 version let alone all the other millions on the pc and ps3.

The only reason they make wow by low computer requirements is so everybody can play it (also indos or other third world countries) they send, p3 computers and crt screens by transport planes, so thats why wow is so big, its graphically fun to everybody (rich or poor) and due to the mmo options its interesting and challenging to everyone. If its about having fun and gamplay, id rather play a nice looking first person shoooter like mw2. I also much rather play it then runescape.

So why is runescape better then in my view compared to wow. Cause make no mistakes, rs is way better then wow.

Simply because the better multiplayer options rs offers. Secondly the game is based on java, and programming a game like runescape under java code is worth a place in the guinness book of world records if you ask me. Also, the java environment seems much more fun,
its a nice build up of animations, and they look funny and strip like, id rather click my mouse in a amazingly constructed environment of which every item is interactable then a wanabee 3d environment (like wow) in which you have to walk kilometres to comeby some decent interactable objects apart from the monsters you kill during the way.

Secondly, wow is just way to addictive once you start it. In regardance to 3d massive multiplayer games id rather play on online communities like "second life" where i can create a character based on my own, where i can talk to people to learn about others and their real life hobbies.

I dont play runescape to often, i played it non stop legit for 3 years, now i mainly autobot runescape for real life cash, and still play it.

What amazes me about runescape, that after every 3/4 tiles theres something you can do or interact with, and the world is still massive. If its not to your liking, you should atleast give jagex credit for how they made it.

blizzard and wow are like real life cock suckers. They made a fantasy environment with simple 3 dimensional planes so everybody can enjoy it.

Games like dragon age are a real start to high end mmo which id rather see then wow. Only problem is that companies that start on mmos have a spirit to overthrow wow out of the market. The reason they cant is because wow is for almost everyone like i said. Making a graphics improved mmo willl cause millions of players be unable to play it.

Secondly, mmos use to be great, much greater then single player games, of which everything is 3d (outside, exterior, and inside interior cells) that needs to be loaded including the online animations that got to be transferred. Mmo designers sometimes try to create a mmo game in the same amount of years, they would make a single player game.

The result of that, are bad engines, unfinished games and graphics and etc.
Wow had these problems to when they started, there was however no competition back then. A mmo is something you start from scratch and you regularly update it, just like rs and wow. They have been reconstructed over years, so there is no wonder why mmo/s never make it to the market.

As credit to design, fun, and gameplay i think runescape is the best. Saying wow is better due to the 3d environment and graphics is just the tipping point of being gay. Since wow hasnt good graphics, go play other games if you agree with me, wow aint worth it. Just because their is a distinct difference between rs and wow by graphics is totally no reason to compare the two. It are both games with super bad graphics, and theyre both not ment to be graphically masterfull. So the graphics of both games is in my opinion not even a consideration if i would choose one of both games. If its the graphics that makes you play it then think for one moment, cause in regardence to graphics there are many better games then runescape and wow. The only distinction i make between both games, are the options it offers, and the way both games are constructed and/or updated. In which runescape just rules badass.

 

Obviously people are going to pick Failscape because you're asking them in the Runescape section.

Threads like this are pointless because there's absolutely no point in comparing an outdated (and ruined) point & click browser game like Runescape to modern MMORPG's like WoW. Runescape has always been and always will be a complete joke compared to other MMORPG's.

 

I have played/quited/played RS for 6 years now and WOW for about a year, I choose RS, if you ask me, I like the new PVP system more than in the old days [loot system sucks but w/e]. There's much more action ect. You can actually kO someone with range now... You have more weps, armore...

As well I really enjoy doing GWD with friends or corp...

From what I understood you hate WoW because it looks better than RS, a lot of people play it and because everyone can enjoy it, and you think RS is better because:

As for the age, im 18 and ill become 19 in december. Concerning the average age of wow and runescape players im probably older then you, but if im not... its not really something that matters since im old enough to share my opinions anyway.
And english is not my mother tongue, so due to the fast typing it coud contain some, spelling faults and grammar mistakes. but im not willing to overview it anyway since it clearly states the multiple reasons why i like rs more then wow does and you missed those parts. That you stopped reading halfway, just proves how pathetic you are since i hurted your emotional feelings (if not, then i did hurt your brain which im proud of tbh)

About how the game looks, i was actualy comparing wow to other games (not runescape) the reason i like runescape better then wow is stated 1/2 to 2/3 of the story i wrote. But since you said you stopped reading halfway i think its clear you missed that part. Or maybe the story became to uninteresting for you to read further.

As for graphics again, i didnt compared rs to wow, but in my example i compared wow to mw2. And after that (somewhere at the end of the story) i state that you cant compare the two games by graphics. And your stupid if you do, thats what i said.

And since you clearly make a distinct in graphics (you say because it looks so much cooler) then you clearly havent readed it at all.

And if so, i think your quite stupid for another reason. My point is, you dont play a mmo because of its graphics, because both wow and rs graphis suck. And if you dare to tell me that wow graphics are better, then i doubt you play any other games at all either since both rs and wow are not even on the radar screen compared to graphically dx10 and dx11 games. mmo's are more about the fun they offer, not the graphics at all. And since runescape offers so much more in a strip like environment (i just like so much more) it that extinction that makes me like rs better then wow.

So may i advice you to reread the story, and if you dont want to due to brain damage or schizofrenia then dont dare to give your opinion about it either, because it wasnt even worth reading.

No, you're not older than me and english isn't my first language either. I stopped reading because I didn't see a single decent argument, at least 1/4 of the words have spelling errors and the grammar looks like a little child wrote it.

You sure talk a lot about graphics for someone who doesn't play games because of their graphics... Yes, neither of them have good graphics compared to newest fps games and whatnot, but there's still a massive difference between them.

Runescape is still just an ugly, outdated point & click grindfest (click trees for 300 hours to get a cape, then move on to clicking rocks for 500 hours for another cape so you can circlejerk with your e-friends), and it's years behind in development compared to any modern MMORPG.

I do play games because of graphics. Im clearly saying i wouldnt play a mmorpg for that reason since all mmorpg have bad graphics. I play alot of mw2. And if you play crysis and games like that its hard to know the difference between rs and wow. Really, there is no difference to me. Thats why graphics are no distinct to me when comparing the two of those, and it actualy bugs me that alot of wow players say wow is better because the graphics are better like in this very same thread. And my messages were exspecially ment for those people. Ive never said i personally like rs because of the graphics because i dont, i would laugh at myself i i did and it would be a silly spelling mistake. If your not one of those people, i dont even understand why your replying. Probably because your some kind of angry indoctrined wow kid. Please come up with some different reasons to play wow so i can be satisfied.

Atleast you seem to care alot more about wow. I havent heard any of your reasons yet apart that its so much better. To make it clear to you, runescape is 100% over internet (wan) apart from the java client you need,
the least you can do is admire how they made it. now blizzard freak that would take the effort writing a java game over internet.

You just talk complete bullshit, you dont play wow for graphics. You play because your addicted to socializing (but you cant in real life) and because of all the perks and extras it offers. All the perks and interactable content is what makes mmorpgs good, not the graphics. That i like a click a tree strip game more then a sandbox 3 dimensional mmo is my opinion. its only the 3d sandbox environment that makes wow better (dont play smart by reffering wow is not sandbox, just dont know the appropriate name for its engine but its lots alike)

And runescape i never play, i only bot on runescape. I ment i played it 3 years ago. Right now i only take a look now and then to see how many mills i made.

If there is a reason in the future for me to play wow then its do bot on it aswell.

But im going to play some search and destroy now, i hope ill meet u there.

 

my personal opinion is that RS is way better than WOW, graphics dont matter imo, if i want good graphics ill go play xbox or something? rs has way more content, more playable hours (unless you have no life) but this is just m opinion.
