Trout/salmon vs lobs vs tuna vs swordies

Hey im going for 99 fishing f2p. i have 84 200k off 85 atm with 40k feathers. i figure 40k feathers will get me approx 88 fishing.

I'm assuming trout/salmon would be fastest but i may be wrong. Obvisouly i would profit a lot more off lobs/tuna/swordies but i'm going to try to do it quick to 99.

From my current level, i need about 10m xp requiring me to catch:

125k tuna
lots of trout/salmon giving me 21k/hr
111k lobs
100k swordfish

which would be fastest?

 

Trout/Salmon is the fastest method F2P I'm not sure what C2 fishing is like on F2P worlds though. Botting at barbarian villiage at 60 fishing I was getting around 24k xp/hr.

 

First of all: Good Luck! 99 Fishing is tedious, I know I personally don't have enough patience for it, and it's a great achievement!

On Topic: 40k Feathers, after calculating, could easily get you 90 fishing! I'd suggest fly fishing the whole way, as I believe that generally tends to be the fastest exp in the game. That is, if you aren't worried about money. If you wanted to make some good money on the way to 99 fishing, lobsters would really be your best balance between exp/hour and money. So, it really depends which route you would want to take!

Yeah stick with flyfishing it's probably the best for F2P and members. (only members can go to Shilo Village) Also, if you're going to do this legit and have some extra cash you can do this trick where you low alch all the fish you catch and it won't stop you from fishing and is much faster than dropping.

Deffinetely fly fishing, Swords/Lobs would take you forever.

 

If you're doing trout/salmon then you're not meant to bank the fish, just drop them for optimal XP.

As for lobsters/tuna, there's a banking method or noting method in karamja for f2p. *I THINK*

 

I went from 15 to 91 fishing fly fishing, and it is terribly slow. The fastest exp you get is 40k/h on a great day, but it is sadly the fastest exp in the game.

 

fishing is a pain..i'll just bank for a little and see how far that gets me.

 

Trout and salmon are the fastest by far.
I did the barbarian village fly fishing to 99 and was getting around 40k an hour using mouse keys to drop.

 

At higher levels, powerfishing lobsters provides better experience than fly fishing. You might wanna try that after 85 or 90 fishing.

 

Dropping the salmon at barb village is what i did for my skiller

 

Do trouts and salmons, lobsters and swordfish arent going to make you that much profit anyways for it to be worth the extra time.

Whatever you do Andrew, don't do this. The fastest fishing method by far is Barb fishing for F2P. It's even comparable to other methods of P2P fishing.

But I honestly lol'd at this. You are the first person I see advising someone to fish lobsters at 85 fishing. Heck, even Tuna/Swordies are faster exp. This is no surprise as this isn't the first fail advice you've given, not sure if they are on intention either.

Please, try it. You do know that you only get roughly around 12-16k exp per hour. You cannot say it speeds up 3x when you hit 85+ Fishing. If fishing level speeds up your fishing by that much, you would obviously barb fish faster. Now if you think about it, if Barb fishing is a lot faster than lobs at a low level, how on earth could it change after leveling. That's like saying power-mining Coal at level 70 is faster than Iron.
