rwt 3 day ban question

posting this on a old account as i want to protect the person i work for and myself. If you want to skip all my ramble go to the questions.

Just caught a 3 day temp ban (appealable) no i don't sell gold or buy gold or log into anyone's account ( i did buy some bonds recently due to price change)

I've been a worker for cox boosting (purples/megascales etc) for around 1 week now. The manager i work for said it was easier to payout in a lump sum after x many services provided because of the timeframe of workers/managers available so we have to put in a "ticket" . With the recent DMM allstars i've been kind of sweating the boosting service and got paid an x amount of OSRS GP.

• i want to state the OSRS GP given to me was no more then 1b

Have i just been really unlucky? or is it not practice to do it this way? i am very unfamilar with other boosting services and how they payout the workers so if i caught this temp ban due to the trading practices of my manager this would be very annoying.

My bank value is around 12/13B. This is my first offense on my account.


Questions;

• What is removed? The appeal message says the wealth would be removed so if anyone who's had a temp 3 day and had anything removed reply and state if that's true and what was removed in your temp ban that would be really helpful. do they take items/cash?
  
• Did i catch this because of the unusual activity of recently starting this service? Before doing this i was maxing my account so i was literally logging in skilling with 0 wealth being traded for weeks, the sudden hike in trades makes me think that it's because of that?

i did purchase a service maybe a year ago on my iron, but i don't see that being the issue.


Small update;

i've looked at the screenshots over discord. One trade was on Sunday and one yesterday. The one from yesterday is what everyone calls the "mule" so i'm 100% sure it's that..

Update 2:

Woke up to my appeal being accepted and the offense removed from my account. 70m was still taken from my cash stack which is weird so still confused.

 

From my experience it's pretty unusual for them to remove wealth off an account, especially if your appeal was accepted.


Very strange. Usually you get a RWT warning the first time, then 2nd time is a ban and that's usually how it goes.


Yes trading mules or accounts that are flagged can also trigger that RWT warning, and usually it's not from something that happened a year ago like you mentioned.

 

I'd advise against any 1-way trades relating to Gold from here on out. It's more feasible to trade semi-high gold priced items to stay under the Radar.

 

Yeah i still can't understand that a small % was still removed, the only way i can understand it is that they removed the % instantly then accepted my appeal. Because far as i know they never return items or wealth on bans, or even when a bug happens and it isn't the users fault. I won't make a fuss over 70m since everything else was untouched. Still worrying it can happen tho.

Yeah i'm going to stick to items from here on out and avoiding mules. Try to document everything giving that the service isn't against jagex TOS, Hopefully won't happen again.
