*NOTE- I'm only doing the fish that are recommended for 99 fishing (( Trout,Salmon,Monks,Lobs, and Sharks. ))

^*^The RIGHT Ways to 99^*^
^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

Here are some ways to get 99 the FASTEST!

METHOD-1: FASTEST

Get tons of feathers and head over to Shilo Village. (( You will need to have completed the Jungle Potion and Shilo Village quests in order to have access here. )) You will also need a fly fishing rod. Lure the salmon and trout then bank, repeat.

*NOTE: This HAS been proven, THIS IS THE FASTEST XP IN THE GAME!

Make a goal of 250k xp a day for fast results.

METHOD-2: MEDIUM

Get a small fishing net and get down to Pi(s)catoris fishing colony. You will need to have completed Swan Song, in order to get access to the colony. I think this is a great way to make money and get 99 fishing. It gives 30 more xp than lobsters and is about as fast as them too. Even though i'm not doing this method, it's still good.

Make a goal of 1k-2k monks caught a day.

METHOD-3: SLOW

Get a Lobster cage and either go to the fishing guild or Catherby, you do need 68 fishing to get into the fishing guild, or use a fishing potion if your 65, or if your 62, use an admiral pie. Just start fishing lobsters, If you want cash and don't really care when you get 99 fsihing, this is recommended.

Make a goal of 1k-2k Cuaght a day.

METHOD-4: SLOWEST

You know what i'm getting at...SHARKS, this is absolutley the slowest way to 99 fishing. They take very long and don't speed up very much. But once you hit 99 fishing, I would suggest to fish these for cash, since autoers are getting banned more and more each day! (( Thanks Jagex! ))

Make a goal of 500-1k caught a day.

You may not think this post is very important, but it IS!
Here are some ways to fight off that pesky temptation while fishing, or doing any other 99 skill.


^*^Don't get ahead of yourself! Stay at one 99 at a time, if you get ahead of yourself, you'll lose focus very quickly!


^*^NEVER put yourself down while your going for a 99, if you keep putting yourself down saying "I can't do it" then you'll never make it. When you get a 99, you'll be glad you did all that hard work, trust me.


^*^Listen to music, probably the most popular thing to do while skilling, it gets you relaxed and its what you like to hear, so go and get those headphones!


^*^Make a G&A thread! I love doing this, you get motivated by your supporters, and you just want to keep on going! Plus, its a very good way to practice making good threads. And while your fishing, bump your thread so you don't get down on yourself if no one is supporting, they will support!


^*^Go to a Player-Made Guild, these are great! They are very fun and relaxing, you get to talk to other 99 goers, you can also make new friends while your there! Tell them to support you on your G&A thread also!

^*^ Talk with your friends! Talk about things, like, school, what your going to do this summer, things like that. DO NOT TALK ABOUT THESE: Pking,Pcing,Other 99 skills, etc. YOU WILL GET TEMPTED!


^*^Pking Videos, are a great way to also pass time! But don't get into it or you might end up going pking. When you watch these you get pumped to see the guy/girl owning! *lol* (( Or atleast i do! )) But when you watch these remember to look back! Or you might get attacked by a random!

*NOTE: REMEMBER! Randoms can kill you in 10-30 seconds, so beware! (some randoms)

^*^Xp, Don't check your xp every load! This just makes you get down on yourself making it harder to get to the goal, check it every hour, AT THE LEAST! When you look at your xp after 1-5 hours and see how much you did, you'll be proud of yourself!

^*^Breaks, Breaks are very useful at times when you are getting tired, I would suggest taking 10-30min breaks each 1-5 hours. So when you come back your ready to go at that skill in top shape! But if you want to go at top speed and you're every determined...I say no breaks. (( unless you have to get off )) (I usually don't take breaks)

^*^ "Make Runescape just small enough that there is none of the black blank space around it. Place the Runescape window in one corner of the screen, and open whatever else you are doing in a completely new window (also sized down), that is placed in the opposite corner of the screen.
This sounds alot more complicated than it actually is...but anyhow, it lets you always keep an eye on your character, in case of randoms, or change in fishing spot or whatever may happen."

^*^ Setting a goal for yourself is very useful, as you look at it each day and see how much your doing, you'll keep on going, so do a daily log, maybe it could be on Runescape or in Real Life. It does'nt matter, just set one.

^*^ Making a G&A thread is a lot of fun! As I told you before, it's so cool to see how many supporters you have and see that meter rise and rise with all of those "##############'s" *lol* Usually when people finish their first goal, they make a second on that same thread, they don't want to lose all of those supporters!

^*^ When you set a goal, you should do some research on how much xp you get an hour. This really helps since you can really see when you'll finish! I have done this in the past and it has worked! It's great! But once you set a goal, you have to stick with it or you'll never make it in time! I made a goal to get 99 fishing in about a month, in the summer, I WILL complete that goal!

^*^Getting Into A Certain Fishing Spot^*^
^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

^*^ Shilo Village: For Shilo Village, you will need to have completed the following quests: Jungle Potion & Shilo Village. Are you below level 55 and can't beat the Shilo Village monster? Well here's how you do it!

Fishing level required: 20+

How to defeat the Shilo Village monster:

^*^ You do the quest like normal up till the fight. Then you get a friend to get him to a real low hp. Then your friend leaves the room and you hit it once hopefully doing a 0 so that you do not get exp. Then just use a ring of recoil to kill the last couple of hp points of the monster. Now repeat this with the other monsters.

Fishing Guild: For the Fishing Guild, you will need 68 fishing. But if you have 63 or 65, your in luck. At level 63, you can use an admiral pie and be lvl 68. At level 65, you can use a fishing pot, it boosts you up to level 68, just enough for it.

Fishing level required: 68

Quests required: None

*NOTE: If i'm wrong on the boosts to the admiral pie and fishing potion, please let me know!

PFC: To get into the Pi(s)catoris fishing colony you will to have completed the quest, Swan Song, and the requirments for this quest are the following: 100 quest points, One small favour (quest),Garden of Tranquility (quest), 40 crafting, 42 firemaking, 45 smithing, 62 fishing, 62 cooking, and 66 magic. (Must defeat a level 170 monster and 23 Runecrafting is an advantage) You may also work on firemaking here, great place to train it. If your looking for Tuna and Swordfish, come here, they have it! This is all I know about this Fishing spot since I have not been there before.

Shrimp, you can either do these till 5 and do Sardines, or Herring at level 10. I would suggest catch the shrimp at Draynor Village, Sardine's and Herring's at Barbarian Village. At 15, start on Anchovies in Draynor.

^*^15-30^*^

Keep fishing Anchoives until 20, then get a lot of feathers and head down to Barbarian Village. Fish Trout, then at level 30, you can now catch Salmon AND Trout. (( Members go to Shilo Village for banking. ))

^*^30-99^*^

I would RECOMEND this. Simple, buy about 200k feathers and fish Trout and Salmon at either Barbarian Village or Shilo Village.

^*^40-99^*^

Not a very used 99 fishing tip, but it's alright. Fish lobsters in catherby 40-68, Then at 68, go to the fishing guild for faster banking. (( Or just stay in Catherby, not very long run. )) (( Ways to get into the fishing guild at earlier levels you can find deeper into the thread. ))

^*^68-99^*^

This way is a much used way by the many RuneScape members. These are the money-making Monkfish! These are great money if you want speed and xp. Yet, they are slower than Trout & Salmon, they get you more money. The only way to get to them is through Piscatoris Fishing Colony. (( You can see how to get here in a section of my thread called, "Getting into a certain fishing spot" )) I would say they get you about 25-30mil, and Trout and Salmon give you about 13mil.

^*^76-99^*^

The only reason to do this step if you're in DESPERETE need for cash. These are the sharks. Extremely slow at 76 and all the way up to level 90 I believe. At level 90-98 they're still very slow. I think that they get a tad faster once you're 99. I wish you the best luck if you do this CRAZY step from level 76.
