In this thread I will be explaining the new system I'm using to allow anywhere between two people to the whole Sythe community to bet.
Below are the details on how it will work.

I'm currently setting up a small wagering community where I will be taking bets in the following fashion:

Each week I will be providing a list of 10 football/soccer matches that will be taking place in the UK Leagues. It is down to each individual better to then pick which team will win each of those games and send them back to me in either a Sythe PM or an email. I will then save all of the choices for each member on to a spreadsheet. If the team that you have chosen wins, you are awarded one point (giving a total of a maximum 10 points) - If the game is a draw or your team loses, you receive no points for that game. At the end of the games I will input the team wins/losses and have the database pull up the points for each individual user. Now the obvious part.. The player with the most points wins the pot!

In the event of certain players being held in a tie, all of the players that are at the top of the leader board will join an IRC chat with me. I will then ask you to pick a number from 1-5, if your number comes in, you stay in - if it doesn't you're out. It works on a knock out basis there until someone wins.

If there are 25 people in the IRC and nobody picks the number 1, then in the unlikely event that I roll a 1, here's the fun part.. The WHOLE POT rolls over to the next week.

Meaning everyone joining the week commencing will be competing for double the pot!

Example: If the pot is 50 people and it is at 500M (depending on the bracket), -10% taken by myself (leaving 450M). If nobody wins that pot and then the next week the same amount of people bet.. You will be putting in a 10M bet for a possible 900M win.

With the odds being given of 90:1 it really isn't a bad gamble at all.

WHEN PLACING A BET PLEASE SPECIFY WHETHER YOU WANT American or Euro Football.

There will be 3 leagues in total for people to be able to bet in:

League one: 25M per entry (Larger pots)
League two: 10M per entry (Medium pots)
League three: 6M per entry (Smaller pots)

PLEASE NOTE ALL LEAGUES GET THE SAME TEAMS - THE LEAGUES ARE JUST FOR HIGHER/SMALLER BETTERS!

The Rules:

Your teams must be picked and sent in at least 24 hours before the kick-off of the first game.
No changing your teams, once you've sent in your team that is your final decision.
No refunds, once you're in the pot - you're there until the end.

Once pots have been paid out vouches are much appreciated.

If you would like to enter the gambling then the steps to do so are as follows:

Step 1. Email me or PM me which gambling bracket you want to be included in.

Step 2. Contact me with your best times for being able to hand over funds, etc.

Step 3. Wait patiently for the teams to be sent to you via email.

Step 4. Pick your teams and let the games begin!

PayPal IS accepted from trusted users at a rate of $0.65/M!​

I presumed this would count as an "Other Service" thread.

But no worries, we'll see what the staff makes of it - If it's the wrong section my apologies.

 

Its fine should just be in miscellaneous as it doesn't help players for a service

 

Is this American or Euro football?

 

I'll likely do a League for both.
