Removing the Team Lead System

Giddy deserves his Global Mod! He reminds me of Pen when he used to take care of scammers. He does a wonderful job, we need him, and as a Global Mod. Not as anything else, leave Giddy alone and pickup on a new subject, just because you cant be like him stop hating.

Now, basically all you guys posting this dispute I am good friends with.. So, I am not going to want a conflict between either of you..

I will say that; I do believe that th effort and work put into the forums is what shows dedication, and thus showing and should be understanding on why Giddy got Global...

Now, this whole thing about whos been here the longest and things.. Why must you lean on something like that? That is the same aspect of you trusting someone just because they have a higher post count. Now, I know most of you don't go for that. So, if not for that. Why are you trying to make it to where it goes for whom has been here longer?

I mean seriously think about.. Either be smart about it or ya'll can keep contradicting yourselfs, and making yourselfs look more dumb rather than proving a point.

It gave them the ability to mod the entire forums where team leads could only lead the mods in their section and perm ban

 

For each section there used to be "team leads". These people were in control of their sections and all other mods of those section reported to them... Now they removed those leaders and promoted a load of people to global mod. Global mods can moderate the whole forum instead of just one section... The update is mainly just staff structure which really only affects staff...

 

Congratz Giddy, you definitely deserve it. Keep it up brohan.

 

FYI, I was the one who recommended Giddy as a mod in the first place. ^_^

The point of globals is to take care of issues when sectionals aren't online. How about you stop flinging shit with no evidence at moderators who work 100x harder than you to keep kiddie porn from showing up on the front page?

 

OMG E-DRAMA. Come on guys... There is no way to really know who is more deserving of a promotion... IMO globals do a lot less than sectionals just because they do not have a section to take care of and are there to move topics around and do what the sectionals can not...

 

I'm not familiar with the way the old system worked, but the new system seems a lot more traditional.
On a side note, congratulations to those who received promotions, good luck.

 

Lol. This is how the system originally was. Then the team lead system was put into place, it started failing, and now we're back to the original system.

 

So basically there was a specific leader for each forum, and then lesser moderators under them in that section? If so, it's a good thing we returned to the previous system.
I do agree with the vast majority here, it is a much more efficient moderating system.

 

Yes.

It was Sythe > Admins > Team Leads > Sectionals. Team Leads were a ruler of each section and held the power to request mods for their specific sections. In the end, it resulted in a lot of dick-sucking and ass-kissing and it wasn't even that good in the first place so it was changed back.
