Range Training Nightmare Zone

What is the best gear (armor and weapon) to train range at NMZ (going to be doing OVLs/Absorbtion method with a rockcake)

Full Void (Range Helm)
OR
Archer Helm, Dragon Hide, Barrows Gloves

Other gear consists of: Fury, God Book, Snakeskin boots, archer's ring


AND

Rune crossbow with broad bolts
OR
Iron Knives

void with knives i would say so depends on defense level of your enemy's

Just try different stuff, whatever's easier and faster for you man

 

Would prefer someone with experience in training it there to just tell me as I don't have time to experiment myself.

 

It depends on the monsters, void and knives would probaly be best

 

hard melle booster

kendal, vampire (vampire slayer), bouncer, general khaz, tree spirit, black demon

 

then id go with the bolts, some of those monsters have defence.

still full void though.

 

Out of your two weapon choices the rune crossbow and bolts is the best, however if you are looking to get great xp then you should be using a crystal bow.

 

xp/hr with crystal bow?

HM does it cost to charge a crystal bow? and what is the increase in xp/hr.

Is it worth me doing regicide and all them quests to get it?

 

I tested several ways on my old voider to get the best xp/hour in nmz, and my friend did the same on his 1 def pure.

In both cases Magic shortbow with rune arrows seemed to be the best (70k+ range xp/h, more with special attack power up).

We never tried it with absorptions only with prayer potions and made around -70-110k each inventory due to using rune arrows, so im assuming you could profit or atleast hit 0gp per inventory with absorp.

Yeah that's what I have heard as well

 

yeah I tried rune arrows and i lost about 2k of them in 4 hours. Not about that life haha was getting around -50k gp/hr (including points earned) thats about 1 gp/xp


Switched back to r c'bow with broads + full void. Getting ~50k xp/hr at 70 range.

 

iron knives with monks robe/fury/archer helm or god mitre/rangers/archer ring is also a good semi afkable way to train
