    Do You Meal Prep?

Firstly, do any of you meal prep? If so what do you prep, and why? Keep in mind everyone has their own reasons for why they prep what they prep. I'll list my current meal prep below. I don't prep breakfast, or after midnight meal. Only Lunch and dinner (aside from two days a week in which I don't eat prepped meals) I don't measure the weight of what goes into each meal, it's pointless to do that unless you are trying to compete in body building or cut fat.

Day 1: Lunch - Chicken, white rice, broccoli mix (contains broccoli, cauliflower, carrots)

Dinner - Sirloin, brown rice, bean mix (contains green beans, yellow wax beans, peas)

Day 2: Lunch - Ground beef, brown rice, broccoli mix (same contents as above)

Dinner - Chicken, white rice, spinach mix (contains spinach)

Day 3: Lunch - Sirloin, white rice, broccoli mix (same contents as above)

Dinner - Ground beef, brown rice, bean mix (same contents as above)

    Day 4: No meal prep

    Day 5: No meal prep

Day 6: Same as day 1

Day 7: Same as day 2

I eat two non prepped meals a day during the days that i'm eating prepped meals, breakfast and after midnight meal. No need to list what I eat during those times, unless someone really wants to know

    Do You Meal Prep?

I attempted to meal prep when my parents were away but school got really in the way and now I'm not eating on a solid meal schedule. I notice no carbs intake at all really. Spaghetti is a staple meal for me due to the leftovers and the deliciousNess.

My current meal prep program costs me roughly $50 per week, which is a lot for some people. I'm interested to know what did you prep when you were prepping meals? I'm also assuming you were prepping to bulk, so probably a similar prep to what I use? Probably with potatoes (I just don't like potatoes which is why I steer away from them) I've tried seasoning the potatoes and even using sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes taste even worse than the normal potatoes and seasoned potatoes just remind me of the smell of wet dog, so I stick to rice.

I personally don't prep anything, I cook each meal everyday. I like to do it as it tastes better and because it's actually freshly cooked. The other reason is that I'm cutting down right now and I want to be dead on with my macros. by prepping bulk meals it makes so much harder to figure out the x amount I need, however if I was bulking I would prep meals for about 3 days.

    Do You Meal Prep?

I try to stay pretty consistent with my meal prep and training. My girlfriend makes my meals, so thankfully I have help!
I do a clean bulk, I macro out my fat, protein and carb intake.
Usually my go to meal for the week:

    - Breakfast burrito 38g carb tortilla, 2 eggs, 2 egg whites, half cup of 98% lean ground trukey, 1/4 cup cheese, 1 rice cake with 3tbs of all natural peanut butter & a 610 calorie shake.

-Lunch is 2 oz of chicken breast, 1 cup of mixed steamed vegtables, 1 cup of plain greek yogurt w/ half a cup of mixed berries, another rice cake with 3tbs all natural peanut butter w/ another 610 calorie weight gain shake.

-Dinner after workout is two burritoes 38g carb torillas, cup of black beans per burrito, cup of rice, 4 oz chicken, 1/4 cup of cheese. And another rice cake with 3tbs all natural peanut butter. Thats a little over 4K calories in the day.

Currently raising my calorie intake to 5K a day and making several meals that will correlate with that amount.

Tried to be consistent, but it ruins one of my favorite things in life, being food. I like variety and while I'm young and active it's not been difficult to stay on top while eating what I want to. I only eat healthy food, but there's tons of good stuff in that bracket.

Currently consuming between 3,000 - 4,000 calories per day. Your after workout dinner is actually pretty similar to my day 4 dinner that I haven't listed.

I'm interested to know, what type of shake are you drinking that contains 610 calories and is it clean? We have a similar body type, similar height, weight and body fat (judging from the pictures you posted in the gains thread) you might be a little shorter than me though.

Nice, yeah you cant go wrong with burritos man. They have everything you need.

As far as the shakes go, yes; they are about as clean as they can get. The shakes have one scoop of protein, one scoop of creatine -if I am using it at that time- and two scoops of weight gainer.

I am a huge fan of the brand ALLMAX, thats my go to choice for the qeight gainer and protein. Less than 4grams of sugar with both of those combined. They also do 3rd party testing on every batch to make sure that there isnt any inconsistencies with the product. Love that brand.
I drink over 1200 calories in shakes everyday on top of meals. Otherwise, I dont pack on any mass.

Interesting meal planning. I'm current adjusting to everything in my life with exams and living on my own I've been off my regular diet for sure sorta dirty bulking if you will cause of all the pre cooked shit from the store I'm eating. After exams I'll probably get a nice schedule laid out. I typically consume 3500 + calories daily and that doesn't make me gain any weight.

no dirty bulks plox, youll regret it as youll spend so much more time cutting, not having time is the same as being lazy, it will literally take you 30 minutes to prep food for 3 days with fresh ingredients, im sure you got 30 minutes to spare twice a week, i have a very busy schedule and i manage to eat healthy, just put it on the scale and measure out what you need and there you go

I would never purposely dirty bulk I've been living on my own for 2 and a half months my meal plan just went out the window this week cause of 4 exams in 4 days I'll be back at it April 9th ! I'll update you guys then.

Before I typically had a fair bit of pasta because it's one of my favorites, kung pao, chicken breast with rice, I'm not a big fan of beef so I don't typically buy any of it because it's also more expensive.

I prefer beef myself over chicken, havent found a way to cook the chicken to make it delicious, was thinking about baking the chicken strips in the oven or something, 4 years ago when i started lifting i went on a dirty bulk, the gains were really good though but the time i spent cutting down just because of that dirty bulk was ridiculous

Yeah definitely not going to be purposely dirty bulking just not watching what I eat for a few days. I'll cut it quick my metabolism is next level so I probably won't even feel the effect. Chicken is typically good with some spices then put into a wrap with some salsa or something spicy. I also typically add it to like spaghetti or something to add additional protein. I'm a huge chicken fan so it's hard for me to say how to prepare it to make it better I just like it.

Sometimes this happens man. Life tskes you by surprise. Its not ideal, but its always better than not consuming a solid amount of calories. I always throw stuff into burritos, easy to eat and its good too. I am not a huge chicken fan personally, at least not plain. But alas, I eat it anyway, several times a day.

I marinate the chicken over night in Italian dressing before baking it, sometimes buffalo sauce. It definitely makes it taste a lot better, especially when meal prepping.

Dude, I tried chicken again, you convinced me, this time however I marinated the chicken in a lovely bbq sauce and that was what I needed, the bbq sauce is also low in kcal so it works out great in the end.

I never meal prep , I literally just eat based off of what I know I need each day. For example, if I want to eat 200 grams of protein and carbs/fat as low as possible, I know I'd need: 3 chicken breasts, 3 24g whey scoops, and then whatever else I can find that meets what I need to cover to close the day- and its never exactly in that order.

i would go with food like good food probably something close to green leaves or healthy vegetables like tuna or broccoli dude good luck on the prep

Edit: Personally though I don't prep. In an ideal world I would, but when I'm looking to go on a cut I just track macros and get it throughout the day
