Opinions 13 Def Pure vs 42 Def "Rune" Pure

Hello everyone! Just creating this quick poll to gather everyone's opinions on which account I should go for moving forward with in OSRS. Currently I have a range pure, SOTD pure, and a "Granite Tank". With that said the loot is relatively low across the board and getting PJ'ed has been quite off putting in PVP with my SOTD pure, although it is OP. So, I would like a unique account build that would be used primarily for PVP, Deep Wild, and BH. The pro's of a 13 def pure would be the Xerician robes, Addy gloves, and Slayer helm. The pro's of the rune pure would be the barrows gloves and better loot. Both accounts would have similar mage, range, and prayer stats. Has anybody played on both or done either of these account builds and been satisfied or dissatisfied? I am looking to do mostly PVP and occasional PVM, Questing, Minigames and like the unique build of these accounts as they are somewhat similar to a main, while still being a pure. I would not pursue using void knight armor on the 42 def pure as I would primarily be doing melee PVP; Gmaul --> Obby maul w/ Vengeance. I'm really looking for an account that can stand up to rushers without being PJ'ed 24/7 and that will be the most enjoyable. I should mention the Rune pure would be capped at 50 Attack as well. Any input from people with actual experience with either of these builds would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I voted for the 42 def pure so I guess that's the direction I'm taking this!

Thanks for the reply, any reason why? The more research I do, the more it seems to me that 13 Def pures are outdated and more of a novelty build than anything else.

 

1 def or 42 def is better for pking

13 def if you want to ''main'' a 1 def build so that you can pvm, slayer, etc.

Definitely decided on a 42 Rune pure primarily for PVP, but with the added bonus of being able to do almost everything in-game. I wanted to keep the poll up for future reference to anyone who may be wondering this same thing.

 

i would go for 20/25/45 def, 13 is not rly worth it.

do the 13 than 42 if you dont like it. you can try both right

 

Not sure if you started your build yet and I know it's not a listed option but 1 defense was always my route of choice!
