New member has 8 questions about running an anti-rwt skilling services discord.

Hi guys, I'm new here and I'm going to start my own anti-rwt skilling services discord. But there are a few critical things I don't know about running skilling services. Would you please try to answer 8 questions I have?


1. Does anti-rwt skilling service means workers aren't allowed to trade gold for irl money?

2. How is the workers deposit calculated in this industry?

3. Is it standard for workers to use clients gold and items to complete the order or not?

4. How much pay are admins of discord skilling services are payed in this industry?

5. Do admins leave a deposit to the channel owner and how is the deposit calculated in this industry?

6. Where do workers post images of progress and completion of services for the clients to see?

7. How to not get banned trading gold and training skills for pay?

8. Should I worry about jagex shutting
down my discord server?

This sounds like a troll.. but if not.. well this whole concept makes no sense but anyway.

1) If you're trying to avoid 'rwt' or real world trading, then no. Your workers cannot sell the gold they get from customers for IRL money.
Problem with #1) Majority of workers are doing this to buy food or rent, you're going to struggle to find workers who wont RWT or if you do, majority if not all of them will be doing it without your knowledge.

2) Deposits are calculated by what you value should be a minimum requirement to work on your jobs.

3) Admin's, staff managers or ticket managers would take some sort of payment generally agreed upon before starting work, unless you have a really good irl friend who can fill the role, this would generally cost.

4) You would need to discuss this with the person.

5) It is the owner who holds or the responsibility and risk, do you want to have a solid reputation? Then hold the refundable deposit yourself (high ones) to ensure your workers arent botting or scamming your customers.

6) Workers generally are paid on completion and post progress updates to you or the customer directly.

7) You'll figure this one out, its not a given but there is always a chance.

8) Not at a low level like majority of people.

Running a services discord takes a lot of time + money, if you don't have money to invest and start one up ($300+ USD) then i wouldn't recommend it, not only does it take money to start a successful one but you also need to dedicated a hell of a lot of time to it.

Don't get the idea that its free money, cause its not.

 

3) re-read and yes it is common practice to use client supplied gold.

Each service owner requires their own value of deposit, lower reputation people who are desperate for workers request very low deposits, whereas service providers with larger reputations have more on the line, and take more risk and so they require a higher deposit.

anyone that has access to cause damage to your customers or your discord should have some sort of deposit safety net in my opinion, this is just so they have something to lose in the case they have bad intentions

 

Ok, I see. I have a few more questions.

How many mil gold would be considered a very low deposit? How many is considered high?

What would be a reasonable amount to pay an admin?

 

This is completely up to you and the standard you hold your server, there is no such thing as a set value when talking about deposits.

Same goes for having senior management/admin, having someone who puts a lot of time into managing and running things for you as an admin would expect a fair payment to do so, an admin that just kicks people when they do something wrong would in my opinion be a free service.

 

So does that mean that 1 bil gp deposit could be considered a low deposit on my server?

 

That is completely up to you and how you want to run your server

 

1) I wonder what deposit would be considered reasonable to ask of a worker on a brand new skilling service server? What deposit would be reasonable to ask of an admin?

2) Is it okay to pay an admin at the of the month?

3) Let's say that a worker does a deposit of 500 mil, and the account he is working on has 1bil, he doesn't loose anything if he chooses to take 1 bil and vanish, he gains 500 mil. So what can I do to lower the risk of that happening?
