Hello interesting topic here what do you think of music nowadays compared to the glory years of the 60s,70s,80s,90s.

Me I was born in 1992 but the best music I've ever heard was from the 80s completely amazing.

How about you. I don't think anything can top the music of the 80s

I won't go as far as to say anything made in the year 2010 is bad, because that would make me ignorant.

Yes, music from the 80's, 90's, etc was good but some people need to get over the fact that things change.

I believe its getting better. It's evolving. I believe more people are being creative and expressing themselves through this beautiful art form, because it is more readily available with sophisticated DAW's (fl studio, ableton live) at our finger tips. Mainstream music not so much though. I would rather blow my brains out that listen to anything on the radio. dig deeper than whats on the surface.

i think it is getting worse, most of todays "bands" are fly by night money seekers. In 20 years how many people will be talking about Avenged Sevenfold? not very many, most of the bands of todays time are easily forgettable. I would be willing to wager that in 20 more years, people will still be talking about the real bands tho, like AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Metallica, etc..

Music used to mean something, all the good bands had to work their way to the top, there wasn't an auto tune to make everyone think they were a singer back in the day.

Dam straight I'm not hating on 2000+ music at all I didn't say anything negative about it. I'm just implying they don't make it like they used to. Most genres.

Music is still alive as it ever was, it's just the music industry that puts out that mainstream bullshit that we are forced to listen to on the radio. the internet is only place where you can good music which is sad.

It's elevating immensely in hip-hop. We have a lot of new artists trying to take it further. J.Cole/Drake/Big Sean/Wiz Khalifa/Wale. Even older artists are keeping that old flow that we love but are elevating their music to a hotter sound but still with that touch of classic. I'm happy with what's going on, it won't ever be like before, but it's going in a good direction.
