    Buying a monitor

So whats a good US monitor to buy for gaming? ~150$ ~23Inch or larger

I saw this on slickdeals today ASUS VS Series VS238H-P Black 23" 2ms HDMI LED Backlight Widescreen LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 50,000,000:1 - Newegg.com, but it was being compared (as being less of a deal) then this (?) BenQ GW2450 Glossy Black 24" 4ms (GTG) Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 DC 20,000,000:1 (5000:1) - Newegg.com

I know nothing about monitors. Went into Best Buy and people tried to sell me 200$ monitors that I found on newegg for like 140$ lol. Would like to buy (2) monitors, so obviously the same size monitors would be ideal. (?)

edit: Any criticism/advice is well loved. Know little to nothing about monitors. I spent >1K USD on my "rig" and I know everything about it. Waited months to get monitors because........... I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ANY OF THAT CONTRAST 31:3fewfwe81 means :(

For gaming, I would recommend getting lower ms. Which means 2ms / 1ms etc.

    $150.00 budget for each a piece ?

I've got basically the same Asus. You have to fuck around with the settings a bit for it to look normal but it takes like 3 minutes. Works fine for me.

The price on the Asus monitor is actually extremely good right now. It looks to be ~ $119.99 after MIR + Instant Savings (Promo Code).

Refresh rate on the Asus monitor is 75hz. It shows 2ms gray-gray.

The BenQ refresh rate is 60hz. I would say go with the Asus if SUF can help you tweak the colour settings. ^_^

In todays standards, truth be told; it doesn't really matter what monitor you get.

If you want a gaming monitor then just look for something that has got a fast response time and no lag input. Look at the specs for you look at the screen size/quality.

2ms 120hz+ Monitors are really cheap at the moment.

if you have a budget take your pick from any 23-27 inch 1920x1080 monitor 60hz 2 ms monitors. the asus ones are good but they come with shitty built in speakers.

if you can spend a bit more i recommend getting a 120hz low ms monitor
