Is this bannable...?

Ok guys, I've got a Mac - and for all of you with Mac's, you know how aids it is to use mousekeys on them to try and power drop. So I've been using "Keyboard Maestro" and set it up like this guy has in this video here:

After reading a few threads on reddit and even asking around in game, I've heard that AHK is actually bannable... especially such scripts that use co-ordinates. Is this true? Can anyone confirm?

Seriously need some feedback and trust you lads here on sythe rather than reddit.

 

You can get banned for it, but not all the time. Their bot-watch might find is suspicious, and once you are banned for it, they wont unban you.



Anyways, you could just download OSBuddy. That client has built in mouse keys (should work with a mac as well)

 

Bannable yes, but unlikely.

I can actually name a few people who have been banned for AHK and later unbanned. Most of them are top ranking players and/or famous though.

 

That explains it. Doubt they will take the time to look into every single persons ban reason to see if he was using AHK or a bot.

But hmmmmmm I'm dropping an inventory in like 3-4 seconds :/

Also can't get my mousekeys to work for OSBuddy. I click them to 'on' but they literally don't do anything haha

 

I've been using mousekeys for around 3 months (automated, so i press one button on my keyboard and it drops the whole inventory) and no issues. You should be fine

It can be bannable as you technically are using a third part software for in-game benefit.

According to Autumn Elegy, "If you use AHK in the same style as Windows MouseKeys, as in only using dropdowns and clicks, your chance of getting banned and staying banned is 0% based on current evidence. If you go beyond that things become more and more questionable, and it's up to you how far you want to go."

I've been using his AHK scripts to bank and drop for months now and haven't ran into any problems.

Basically just limit yourself to 1:1 input:output, i.e. only bind one action (moving up, down, left, right, or a left or right click) to a given key, and use relative mouse movements (moving relative to the current cursor position, and not to an absolute position on the screen). Stay away from alternating scripts (pressing the same key but having it switch between outputs) and mousewheel scripts as those are an even bigger grey area despite being 1:1, and definitely don't use loops.
