is it ok to drink expired egg nog

i found some egg nog that i bought during christmas, is it ok to still drink it? lol

or will i get :sick: :sick: :sick:

 

You will get ill, i recommend that you don't drink it.

 

This is why we have expiry dates. Look at that?

It's usually okay to drink a few days after the expired date when kept under the appropriate temperature, but If it's from Christmas it'll make you sick I suggest you don't drink it.

 

The expiration date is more of a 'sell by' date. If the expiration date is 7/23/13, for example, it's not magically going to become spoiled and undrinkable on that day. A couple of days after won't hurt. Now if it's at least two weeks or more after, I wouldn't drink it. Be sure to smell it before you drink it. The smell is always a good indicator if the milk is spoiled or not.

It's an egg/dairy product that's 8 months old. Milk doesn't even last a whole month before going bad, why would egg nog be any different?
