How much gold does it take to get a perm ban instead of just a 3/5 temp ban?

Does anyone know or have data on how much gold Jagex deems evil enough to justify a permanent ban? The only data I have is someone taking ~5b on a naked and getting banned right away. Every other ban I've heard of has been temp besides repeat offenders.

Does Jagex always give temp bans to those with paid membership on their first offense? Or is there a certain threshold that can make it permanent no matter what?

 

If you get caught buying gold for the first time, you'll receive a RWT warning. After that, if you get caught again, you get temp ban (2-5 days) and they probably remove the gold as well. The 3rd time I believe it's like a 7 day temp ban with gold removal and the 4th time is a perma ban.

I don't think it matters how much gold you buy. Even if it's 50M, there's a high risk now of getting caught and your gold will always be removed. If you care about the account, don't buy gold. Buy bonds and you're 100% safe.

 

I'm specifically wondering what the cutoff is. I know 6B is an instant ban no matter what, but how much is needed to get a perm instead of just the warnings you're mentioning? 500M? 2B?

 

I don't think it matters how much you buy. Even if you keep buying only 100M and you get caught, you'll eventually receive a perm ban. Probably if you buy 2B in bulk, the chances of getting a perm on the first time you're caught are higher than if you buy less.

 

There is no certain threshold or amount of you getting perm banned or temporary banned.

Sometimes it is also hard for Jagex to determine who the seller / buyer is. As a buyer, you can also get permanently banned. Even when buying a couple of hundred M.

The most important thing is to make the trade look as natural as possible. Buy OSRS items instead of OSRS Gold, trade on high combat level accounts in p2p worlds at the grand-exchange (where most PVMers lend items to each other).

Avoid trading combat level 3 accounts. If you were to purchase OSRS Gold make sure to buy of vendors that do not trade on f2p worlds and level 3 accounts, that is just asking for problems.

 

there is no threshold, back when i was actively buying/selling gold, i've had customers get perm banned before that would only buy small amounts even under 100m every few weeks, whenever you conduct a trade the game has a automated system in the background that decides if you will be instantly banned etc,

i've had accounts before get instantly banned after accepting trades, if you want to be safe you need to apply common sense and do things that look less suspicious, avoid trading level 3's in f2p worlds, avoid buying the gold off a account and instantly trading it to another account etc.

There are tons of things you can do to increase or decrease the chances of issues arising, but at the end of the day it is luck of the draw. I know plenty of people that have bought/sold hundreds of bills off the same account and have faced no issues, it surely does seem like luck can also play a big role.

How less likely is an item RWT ban than a gold RWT ban? Doesn't jagex just look at the "value" field of a trade, regardless of what was in it?

 

ive had similar luck with items as with gold, no real difference to them.

most common sense tricks only work to a certain extent, there is a method to jagex's detection process and it is not that hard to figure out.

likewise, there is a pretty safe method or two to RWT out there that are working 100% as of now, and i will likely share it in the no too distant future, though for now it remains as a sorta low key secret, you can probably figure it out if you really wanted to.

 

Buying OSRS Gold looks like far more obvious RWT then OSRS items, since OSRS items are often traded between PVMers (for instance when they loan a twisted bow of a fellow clan member). Therefore since the trade is more natural and done by regular players, we experience that trading OSRS items is safer.
