How long does a name say "Last Known as"

Hey, I've had some mixed answers about how long a player on your friend/ignore list will have the "Last known as x" symbol beside their name. I've heard 35 days, 30 days and 35 days plus but how long does it actually take?

40 Days without changing it in this time, I believe.

 

I believe as long as a name is on your friends list as (x) before they change it to (y) it will say last known as. I may be wrong.

 

I thought it was 60 days. oop.

 

Changing Your Display Name

 

I believe it depends on how long you have had your previous account name. I've had my account for over 8 years and I changed it's name last December... It still says 'Last know as' same for my friend and he has had his account for over 6 years.

 

This can't be accurate. The account I currently play on was created way back in 2002 or 2003 and has had the same name up until a few months ago when I changed my name for the first time. I lost track of the amount of time that I had the "last known as" symbol in front of my name, but it disappeared within a few months.

I just changed my name for the 2nd time ever about 30-40 days ago, and the symbol is still beside my name. I think the 60 day estimate is probably approximately right.

 

Haha, once again I get mixed answers. Anyone else think they have a good idea of how long it lasts?

 

It's 2 months after changing the name. However, from your FIRST name change it will never disappear, it only happens once you've changed your name twice.
