Fire wave is cheaper AND faster xp than wind bolt!!!

It's perfect for the 26k trick. Know how people wind bolt each other with horrible armor in PVP so they keep splashing over and over again so they don't get pj'd and can AFK for 2 hours, netting them 100EP while they head to the gym or something?

I did some calculations.

Fire wave = 350gp / cast (Air staff, and buying bloods at highest price and fires in trade price. Note that fire runes are junk, so you could probably get for lot better prices.., but let's just count them as 9gp ea.)
XP = 42.5 / cast
Cost per xp: 350/42.5 = 8.2gp per xp.

Wind bolt = 140gp / cast
XP = 13.5 / cast
Cost per xp: 10.4gp per xp.

Don't bother with wind wave; it's 1gp more than fire wave, even counting in those fire runes.

Takes 2500 casts for 100EP; 2 hours.

 

How much is 2500 casts though?

872k, and 375k for wind bolt.

You get more for your money fire waving as well as faster xp.

Note that with 26k trick you WILL make the money back.

 

people use wind STRIKE, which is 9 gp per spell. Wind bolt is also 95 exp per spell, you use a staff.

 

in pvp/bh you don't gain EP if you use strike spells, kick each other, or use noob weapons. jagex stated that on one of their news updates.

 

yet you do alching, so why not stun alch for 150k exp an hour then break even off drops.

I fail to see the point? Wouldn't it be more beneficial to just wait the 2 hours to get full ep?

 

To get max EP takes 2 hours, 2 hours is 2,400 spells.

Besides most people don't do this to get experience, most people do it to make money or get a better drop when they're actually pking.

Does the wave do any damage though? I know it's typically full rune and just the staff, but I thought one of the main reasons people use low spells was to reduce the amount of damage. I've never tried with anything higher than wind strike, so I'm not sure.
