Banned for bug abuse regarding T-Bow spawn.

What do you guys think of this?

If action would be taken against your account for a T-bow spawn, which was a mistake by someone in
Jagex's company, that is pretty retarded in my opinion. In the past, Jagex has been notorious for not
having game-breaking bugs in their updates but lately it seems as if they have been over ruled by
game crushing material such as the max cash glitch, the t-bow spawn, the attack style update, all
in the last year.

I don't think they should ban anybodies accounts.

Who cares if you sold the T-bow and bought other stuff and went to go do something awesome in
the game? An update like that they HAVE to roll back, who wouldn't pick one up & sell it.

 

I would put your pitchforks away until someone gets banned...

Like what they did year's back with the fally massacre.
Ban players because they screwed up?
It's retarded if bans are handed out.

 

They've already said any bans that were issued are going to be modified, didn't they? Let me find the article to get the correct wording.

Here's what they said regarding bans related to this incident:

"Players who abused the bug to buy bonds and redeem them for membership will have appropriate action taken against their account in the near future. The handful of players that were banned for abusing the bug will instead have their offences reduced to temporary bans. They have received an inbox message regarding their ban."

Tbf, players knew it was a bug, and a person should know not to abuse such things no matter what. so if people are banned i would say its deserved, people can use their brain a bit more instead of abusing something they "Should know" is a mistake/bug

 

I mean who wouldn’t pick it up. But in the end yeah it was a bug and there is “bug abuse”. In the end I think gold sellers got hurt the hardest assuming they bought a bunch of dirty gold that got rolled back.

 

i think most of them will do chargebacks since the sellers know accordingly it was bugged gold and there was a chance of a re-roll

 

I’m not sure considering they don’t know who sold bad gold. Puts legit sellers at risk who sold to them. Ruin their rep.

 

True, but legit sellers would have gotten their gold refunded during the rollback so legit sellers would just have made free money in theory

 

bro if u find a bug and report it - u won't get banned
if u find a bug and don't report it - u won't get banned also
but if u found a bug and u ABUSED it, u will definitely get banned

abusing a mistake isn't innocent

 

They did abuse the bug :shrug:

 

Imagine abusing an obvious flaw due to a system bug then being retarded enough to make a thread by saying it's Jagex's fault
