    F2P Strength Pure Guide

Hello, and welcome to my guide. In this guide I'm going to define a pure, explain how to train it, and how to PK with it. Enjoy!

    The Definition Of Pure:

Ok, so why make a pure? Well the main purpose of a pure is to PK (PlayerKill) or for showing off. PKing is not always profitable but sometimes you can get lucky and PK something good, like a godsword!

Why make a pure? Why not PK with mains? That's a good question, have you ever seen mains fight with full armor? For example two level 80 mains fighting with full rune. The fight will go as following: 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 15, 0, 0, 15, eat, 0, run.

Not very much fun; Everyone would just keep hitting average hits, and all the 0's makes it dull and easy to eat in time. So, PKs would be rare, and all you have to do is run when you're out. BORRINGG.

So, the pure is born. A pure is any character that focuses on an offensive skill such as Strength, Range, and Mage. They usually lack defense so they can hit higher, and PKing is a lot more exciting. Many people say pures are just 1-20 defense, I disagree; It all depends on your strength level. Is a 20-20-20 an init pure? No. Is 45-45-45 a zerker? No. Is 80-99-45 a zerker? Yes. In my opinion 1-70 def is a pure, it just depends on your Strength level.

    Why make a Strength Pure?
A strength pure is one of the more common pures in F2P; if executed correctly they can own most other F2P pures given the right skill and stats. An ideal F2P pure (if you intend to BH) is: 40 attack, 78 strength, 1 defense, 32 mage, 1 prayer. YES 78 strength is possible at 55 combat for a maxed F2P pure :) With these stats you can hit around (potted) 17-20 with a rune scimitar, and 22-25 with a rune 2her. Knowing most people use lobsters (heal 12) and you can hit a 17 WITH A SCIMITAR PKing is almost easy.

    How do I start off?

Well, of course the first thing to do is to make an account. I highly recommend you pick a creative name, like mine is "Soctocto" doesn't mean anything but it's better than "Dragonx23058430984930". o_O Also, don't get a name off of here, recovering accounts made with your IP is easier than you'd think, remember that. o_O

As soon as you're off tutorial island I recommend you sell ALL the things you get from the tutorial to the general store for a few hundred GP. With that you walk to Port Sarim, get a load of Eye of Newts and bank them in Draynor, and repeat til you're out of money.

Then head over to the Grand Exchange and sell your newts for maybe 1-3k, then run some more Newts, sell, and repeat til you have an alright amount of cash.

    The Training: 1-20 att/str

    Before we get started:
STAY 1 PRAYER!! Explained later on.

After that, buy an Iron Armour (l) set, some leather boots, a team cape of your choice, leather gloves, as many scimitars you can afford (starting iron-rune) and a strength amulet. Then Lumbridge teleport, and head to North East chickens here:
They never hit on you, so you won't need any food.
This place is probably the best place to train for around 20 attack, 20 strength. However you can move on to the next place around 15-15.

The best order to train your strength, attack-strength wise is:
    5-1-1
    5-5-1
    10-5-1
    10-10-1
    10-20-1
    20-20-1
    20-30-1
    30-30-1
    40-30-1
    40-40-1
    and so on.

    The Training: 15-30 att/str

At this place you might need some food because they do hit occasionally. The place is right across the street from the Chickens, east to the Cows. Usually this place is packed, but you might be able to find a world that's relatively empty. Just stay here killing Cows and keep at it, don't get sidetracked. Optionally you can collect the hides and bank them in Lumbridge, but I really don't think you should it's easier to just make money later.

    The Training: 20-40 att/str
    [IMG]
This is going to be a long stretch in the training, and severely boring but just stick it out. You'll be training on Men in Edgeville. They are conveniently placed in a building where you can shut the door, and it isn't hard to find an empty world. They have low hp, but there are plenty of them, and you won't need very much food at all.
    They are located:
Just stay there eating, killing, eating, killing, and if you get dead bored you can go for a different place here:

    The Training 25-40 att/str
    [IMG]

MONKS! They used to be popular amongst pures because they healed themselves, so they have more HP. They are still good to kill though, because you can talk to them and they will heal HP. These are crowded usually, but a good change of scenery from Men.
And are also conveniently close to Men:

    More Moneyy!
At some points in this guide you're probably low on cash. I really recommend you don't depend on running newts and invest in a skill. I personally fish because I can do other things, and lobsters rake in decent cash. You can also mine or WC or whatever. If you go with fishing don't bothering cook, all in all you can just sell the Raws (which are more than cooked) and buy cooked if needed. In the beginning I recommend you do the Stronghold of Security/Safety for the money, boots/gloves, and XP lamps.

    More Training! 40-70 strength
Here is the LONGEST stretch in your training. At this point you should have some decent cash (x00k). At either of these places you can use trout/salmon/tuna/or lobbies. I usually am loaded with cash so I go with tunas/lobbies. You can go with trout/salmon but the constant banking gets old.

    Al Kharid Warriors 40-60 Strength:

These are pretty decent XP, and as long as you aren't gangbanged by them you'll be OK with food. I recommend you do these before the following because they're a little weaker. They are located:

If you attack one they will usually all gang up on you, which gets annoying. But usually more people are there so you get attacked by 2-3. These can get old, but it's pretty solid XP. There are also decent scripts in RSBot for it ;)

    Flesh Crawlers 50-70 Strength:

They are located on the 2nd floor of the Stronghold here:
I really recommend you bring a pot here, and some lobbies. They hit low, but consistently, and the best part IS: They are aggressive for a time, so turn Auto Retaliate on and you don't have to do anything for a little while. They usually aren't crowded, and great xp. One pack of lobby is like 1-2 levels. :)

    Now what?
If you have stuck with the guide and have 40 attack, 60-70 strength, 1 defense, 1 prayer you have a very good strength pure. :) Maxed strength is 78, if you begin PKing in Bounty Hunter at 70 strength, 51 combat you have about 1 million xp til 78 strength. That means you have PLENTY of time to tear up F2P BH, and even PVP worlds.

    Prayer?
Here is something that RUINS most pures.
    Should I get prayer?
    STAY 1 PRAYER!!
Whatever you do DON'T get prayer.. But why?? OK lets look at some statistics:
    With 71 strength:
Scimmy w/o prayer: 24 is max with pot.
Scimmy w/ prayer: 20 is max with pot.

Rune 2h w/o prayer: 25 is max with pot.
Rune 2h w/ prayer: 20 is max with pot.

Many people think that 31 prayer makes them stronger than other pures and that ISN'T TRUE. The only advantage 31 prayer gives is Protect Prayer, which nub pixel huggers use to keep their 2her. It is not worth it, and no prayer is a DISTINCT advantage over other pures. Prayer runs out, higher strength is permanent

    Mage?
Some pures like me get 32 mage for Bounty Locate. It doesn't effect your combat as long as you use a lamp to 3 mage then confuse, weaken, and curse to 32. If you do normal mage you could level HP which could level your combat some. Which is a no-no. :p

    PKing?
So how do you actually pk? When I PK in PvP I use the following inventory:
You can add some Bounty Locate runes if you're BHing, and you can change the 2her to a Rune Battleaxe if that's your style. The team cape makes it so that you don't have to right click to attack higher levels.

In the actual fight you should fight you levels. NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER PJ!!! Pjing is pile jumping, when someone just kills someone and you try to kill them as soon as they are looting because they are low on HP. Eventually in your pure career you will be PJed and you will hate them like me. If you can't get a kill, only PJing then go drink some bleach failure. Never safe, it is stupid and no one will fight you.

When you fight use your strength potion, hit them with the rune scimitar until they are around like 20 hp. If you are lucky you can hit a good 15-17 with the scimmy, they will be like 3-5 hp and will eat a lobster. As soon as they are 3-5 hp pull out your 2her and hopefully hit 15-17 for a K0.

    My current stats are:

Here are some PvP kills I got <3 :
Lagged and got PJed shortly after, fuck off PJers.

    GF.

If you have any questions post here. If you feel I should add something post here. If this helped you in any way post here, this took an hour to write a simple thanks takes 3 seconds.

Ugh. It makes it a little worse, but not drastically. As long as you keep it there, that's fine.

Good guide. Provided some legitimate insight to training sites and had some great information about statistics for maxing in the lower crater. Thanks.

I'm making a very similar pure, but I'm getting a decent range level for range 2hing. This gave me some great ideas for leveling my strength though. Thank you!

This is extremely in-depth! I, personally am not a fan of PVP, because from my experience the drops are horrible, but do you have any more small tips to get your drop rate up?

Yes you stay out as long as you can away from safe areas, and kill people a little higher than you.

I usually hang out around the edges of hot spots. If you stay around hot spots for a long time, then eventually your chances rocket up.

I don't really know how you think no prayer is better:

It's as simple as using a tip it calulator.

Rune scim w/ pot and pray at 71 strength = 20 max
Rune scim w/ pot NO pray at 71 strength = 18 max

    Edit:
I see what you mean. At 49 combat there are two pures:
    71 strength no pray
    60 strength with pray

The 71 strength can hit 18 no pray while the 60 strength can only hit 17 w/ pray.

I never knew about this, thanks.
