[Drink] V8 Splash Smoothies - Strawberry Banana

I've had my share of V8, which by the way is no better for you than a soda (okay maybe a little bit, but not really). Most of what I get falls in the V8 Splash variety and I can tell you that the number one thing I hate about it is the sweet potato concentrate that they must have 100 tonnes of in storage. It's in every V8 as the first ingredient (don't quote me on this).



V8 Fusion Refreshers Black Cherry Berry is the best of the regular juices, by the way. My usual goto product if I want V8 is V8 Splash Cherry Pomegranate (I like cherries).

I just looked at the label and saw something I HAD to type:

"V8 Splash Smoothies were created to help deliver the vitamins and nutrients you and your active family need in a smooth and satisfying beverage"

Only 55mg of potassium, 0g of fiber, 3g of protein (I don't need any more of this, despite the protein fad going on right now), Vitamin A 20%, Vitamin C 20%, Calcium 10%, Iron 2%.

Yes, those are quite the vitamins and nutrients, it is certainly a health drink. Just reading that made me want to do another review on another smoothie that is much better for you.

I don't even think I've mentioned this product. It's good. It's smooth. It's Pepto Bismo???? pink. It's "15g" of sugar per 8 fl. oz. (you should know the story by now - sucralose).

It tastes great, and I won't take away points for V8 trying to appeal as a healthy drink. Low 5/5 because smoothies are hard to mess up - they're supposed to be delicious. I believe the price is around $2.50 more or less for a 46 fl. oz. bottle.

Pistachio.

Buy this drink. I do it every once in a while.

Yum a sugar pumped smoothie made with genetically modified fruits, and vegetables. That's my kind of healthy right there.

 

Solid review, good product. I enjoy plain v8 with a tiny bit of pepper, my gf also swears by the v8 energy drink things. You should try them

Regular V8? May the heavens bless your soul. I wouldn't dare to touch that stuff. I honestly have no interest in V8 energy. If I want something that's horrible for me like an energy drink, I'll get a real energy drink. I tend to like the taste of classic energy drinks. I wish they could put the flavor into soda form or something. I have tried a ton of energy drinks but I never took pictures of any which doesn't really matter because the original is almost always the best flavor when it comes to energy drinks.

The v8 energy is just the v8 fusion with more b vitamins, none of that other energy nonsense I dont think.

And man regular v8 is the beesknees! Especially in a bloody mary.
