Dragon Defender or Dragonfire shield?

Hey people

I just went to do some Frosties since I got 85 dung quite some time ago and I got a visage within the first hour and a half lol, so I was wondering, what's better, keep the dragon defender or buy a dragonfire shield?

 

D Defender. It only gives 1 less strength bonus than Dfs but give nice offensive stats

 

I've found the Dragon Defender to be an excellent cheaper alternative, but the Dragonfire Shield to always be the better option. Worth the cost, and you can always sell it later

 

I say the attack stats the dragon defender has makes it a lot better than the DFS.

 

The DFS is better if you're going to do Frost Dragons, since it eliminates any damage you would get from the Dragonfire Breath.
But overall, the Dragon Defender is better because of the offensive bonusses like Sasuke said.
But since you're doing Frost Dragons, stick with the DFS.
It will protect you better against his Ranged Attack and Melee Attack which can hit both up to 160-200 I think.

 

It all depends on what you're doing in rs, slayer etc would probably go for DRAGON DEFENDER stuff like bossing, would go for DFS

 

uhh its dfs for bossing guy... thats when you want all the def you can get.
For most general tasks or killing ddef>dfs almost ALWAYS. Its 1 str bonus less doesnt outweigh the massive bonus to slash stab and crush, for frosts i assume you were using super antifires so you wont get reamed, if you have 99 def and super antifires+extremes a ddef can be a very viable option. I find frosts to be a bit of a bitch so i use the dfs for extra protection.. basically if you can personally make the ddef work it will ABSOLUTELY give you more dps on anything with good defense due to its accuracy bonus. dfs is pretty much just for tanking

 

I'd go with the Dfs, especially for Frosts

 

Actually if you'd learn how to read he said Dfs for bossing. But thanks for your hateful input as always douche!

OT: Use dragon defender for things where you don't need much defense, the offensive bonuses are AMAZING. I honestly even hate pking if I have to use an obby shield because of the decrease in accuracy.

 

I'd say DFS to be honest and there not expensive!

Soz wilson i misread post haha but its still confusing the way you worded your post sounded as though you said ddef for slayer AND BOSSING since there was no comma ect and that you would just go for a DFS without elaborating why.

ddef>dfs for anything but tanking or where you just NEED the extra defense i use dfs for alot of afkable/multizone slayer tasks as well where the monsters have lowish def like hellhounds or greater demons even daggs lol
