Does anybody here brew their own beer/wine, etc? Just finishing up/bottling my first batch of India Pale Ale and thought it'd be interesting to see if anyone else does their own brew. I've just recently gotten into it as it's cheap and more interesting to make it yourself.

Price for a 24 here at home is around 45$ (Canada, eh) and the kit I bought for this makes about 60 bottles for 25$.

It's something i've always wanted to do but never really got round to doing it. My old housemate used to make his own mead which turned out quite tasty and quite strong. Not a fan of IPA's myself though, I prefer darker ales.

I do like a dark as well, but I also drink them differently than I would a lighter beer. In general I drink a lot more lighter beer than dark.

The process for this is remarkably simple but just takes time which I'm sure is the reason behind the low price. I'd love to try making my own hard liquor some time as well.
