How long after you sell gold can you get banned?

About 8 months ago I sold a lot of GP off of my main to a large gold selling website. I was thinking about playing that account again but was wondering what the likelihood that account will be eventually banned? It has no warnings and never was banned for the initial selling of gold.

 

The likelihood is close to 0. The window of opportunity to ban you has passed long ago. You’re all clear. I would advise you to be careful if you still plan to use the account to RWT again.

 

Usually are RWT seller bans quick? Like within the first month or so?

 

I would say even sooner than that. There are multiple factors as to how quick someone gets banned.

1. Being reported by someone (in game or tip offs)
2. The volume of gold traded (higher the amount, the more likely the system will monitor you)
3. The account you are trading with (some gold buyers/sellers receive high volume traffic of customers | as well as the account level etc. A level 3 mule is more likely to get banned than say a mid level 67 combat account, and both are more likely than a 112 combat account)
4. Previous rwt offenses (expired or not)
5. The amount of times you rwt in a given window (the more times you rwt in a given monthly cycle)

There isn’t enough concrete evidence to suggest there is a deliberate systemic method behind the bans. Some are manual, others are automatic, and few are delayed. Just be smart about how you maneuver and the odds are likely in your favor.

 

After 8 months your safe. I normally say after 2 weeks your safe.
