Bought 20B rs3, got perm'ed few hours later, advice?

Hey everyone, i recently returned to this game after a couple year break. Since returning, I realised rsgp is now a lot cheaper than prior years, so I decided to purchase 20B. I know it might seem like a lot of gold to purchase, however there are a lot of cool new items I want to get in rs3 like new holiday rares such as the purple hween mask and I also wanted to level up my skills in time for DXP.

As I've previously done before, I used a level 90 alt account and was traded 800m shards in a p2p world. Following this I sold off some of the shards and purchased a couple gold partyhats, purple h'ween masks and a green santa hat for my main (1) and other lvl 3 skiller accounts (2). I traded these over no problem. Following this I traded, 200m shards (5b worth) onto my other lvl 3 mule account (3) so 'my eggs aren't all in 1 basket'. Following this I traded max cash stack onto a non level 3 semi-main account (4). As I traded over the max cash, right after the trade ended I got logged out and Boom. "Your account has been involved in serious rule breaking". I log on to find out it is a permanent RWT ban. While I am a little upset about ~8-9B loss, It's still cheaper than buying it officially via bonds so I'm not too worried about the loss of wealth. What I am worried about are my accounts as I have also traded them with the account that is now banned.

As this is my first RWT ban, are all my other accounts now flagged/ in danger? How long should I wait before logging on (DXP begins soon)? What mistakes do you think I have made that could've been avoided? Can Jagex trace my accounts back onto my device and ban those also? Should I purchase a new laptop/internet plan?

Notes:
- I changed my IP address using the command prompt program on my laptop.
- All my accounts are 5-10+ years old and none were fresh new accounts.

 

The seller is what got you a ban, find a smaller seller who uses main accounts vs hundreds of mules a week.

Thanks for your reply. Do you think I would have evaded the ban had I traded none of my accounts and just left the 20b on the account? I find it very ironic as soon as I trade a max cash gp over, it immediately logs me out to a ban. I feel that was a big trigger.

 

sorry for your loss. I partake in buying/selling os/rs3 gp and there’s a reason why I stopped bumping my rs3 selling threads and stopped offering it entirely. Yes your last trade before the ban may of been what triggered your ban. As you see me mention later on in this post.

the bans on rs3 are way to good, they have a very advanced automated rwt detection system that performs automated bans on players, from what id assume the system thought you were going to sell the gold (probably due to the unessecary muling?) they can see when your trying to hide things and that’s what caused them to strike if I had to guess, I’ve always believed it’s safer not to funnel gold between mules as it makes you stick out like a sore thumb.

not sure why rs3 is so harsh on buying/selling. Only reason I can think of is to keep the economy alive, with how inflated the rs3 economy is banning trillions of gold from rwters is probably the only reason rs3 still even has a rwt market

 

Hey Leptin, thank you for your reply. I think purchasing on my main is just too risky, I really do not want my main to be banned given all the time I invested to it. I'd rather an alt or mule get banned than my main. Esp when this isn't the first and won't be the last time I'm buying gold so I feel that my main would eventually get banned had I just purchased from that account

 

There is a good chance the seller is the reason you were banned. One poisoned account in any part of the chain will kill the rest.

I had my ONLY warning on my OG account because I bought from somewhere(that I used many times before) and they used level-3s.

Be careful with whom you do business and I would suggest waiting some time to see what happens before transfering to different accounts. Much easier to lose one account rather than multiple.

I would say for the future you must watch out for the seller's practices

 

Seeing a lot of banned for RTW threads lately, really sucks to hear man.

Sounds like you did things right which makes the only other common denominator the seller unfortunately. Probably was some low-level mule who traded with 100s of others after your trade and made it blatant.
