Botting bans and duration for first offence?

To all the botters out there,

When caught for the first time botting/macroing, how long will the ban duration be? Is it always 48 hours, or is there a chance that it will be permanent? Does it matter on the account type?

I am considering botting on a higher level members account (my main), and I could live with a 48 hour ban, but not a permanent one. If it is true that the first offense only carries a 48 hour ban, I'd be planning on botting until the 48 hour ban occurs and never botting the account again.

The account currently has no active offenses (all expired, from years ago) and NEVER a macroing offense.

It also has a premium members subscription.

I just don't want to get a perm ban!

Almost always 2 day if your account is older than a couple weeks, still sometimes perm

Second time is always perm

If thats a main account, which means that all skills leveled, lots of quests, etc.The first ban most likely will be for 2 days.

I had a main get perm banned on first offense. Was mems, well rounded, bunch of quests ect. First ever offense on the account.

 

I wouldn't bot it.
It's not worth the risk, all my accounts banned have been perm.

 

From what I've experienced. It starts off with a 2 day ban and then it's permanent. Be careful

 

Account type definitely matters. First bans usually are 2 days if you've been playing on the account legitimately for a certain period of time, or at least jagex doesn't think you're an account made for goldfarming. If you've botted since tutorial island and havent played a single hour legitimately, you'll be permanently banned.

 

My Hardcore Ironman Account got permanently banned today. Was first offence, was using fishing bot at karimja. Only botted about 1.4k lobbies first time used fishing bot.

Had three 99's Jagex made it pretty clear no appeal or w/e.
