Explanation of the trade: I bought game avatar services from this person. The service was unfinished, they took my in game items that are approximately worth $500, also spent 20k ($200) NeoCash currency (bought with USD).
How they scammed: They said they are offering paid services to unlock game avatars for my neopets account, which is similar to boosting. However, the transaction was half completed before they ran with my items and is now attempting to sell them on sythe

Can also provide proof of this user being a scammer, he did the same to me. Paid around $85 for game avatars and not even half the list is complete and now he won't reply.

Claims he is homeless and doesn't have power.

Like I get it things happen but if you're in that much of a tough spot don't offer this kind of service, and don't steal items.

I made sure to pin EVERYTHING before he got into my account and only left out around 300k NP for him to use.

 

Lesson learned for me. i was doing big trades on site so i removed the pin for nc. forgot to repin them.
dont know whats their situation is but if they need cash, work for it like everyone else.

 

I contacted Venmo and they put a warning on his account, I would suggest doing the same thing. So that way he can't scam anyone else.

I just changed my password but I have pins on my account. I did get some avatars a few days ago from them. I paid $45 but not gotten all my services (it was gonna take a monthish) If anyone has any tips on what I should do PM me

Edit I payed through paypal if it helps. Id also like to mention they haven't done anything to me but I will no longer trust this service. Sorry to everyone

 

Sadly no, but they can block his account from being used. Which will force him to use other types of payment methods.

 

Try to contact him and see what's going on, you can file a claim with Paypal to get the $$ back but you have to show that you have tried to contact the seller.
