Bolt Enchanting, how does it make so much money?

What bolts do you enchant and what mats do you need?

I have 82 mage, what would be the best for me considering I want to make a lot of GP.

 

I was looking into this also.
I have 85 mage and need some cash :S

 

To start with you must have a high magic level, and you must have lot's of cash to begin with or else you won't be getting anywhere.

Basically you have to buy the bolts, and you will make them for example into Onyx Bolts (e) which will sell for 8k per arrow which is alot, so you end up making at least 1-3M per hour which is great money making, but you must have at least like 15-35m to begin with.

 

Fail.

Onyx gems cost 7.8m. You get 15 tips per onyx cut. 8000x15=120k

So, cutting Onyx loses you a nice 7.68m per gem.

It's dragon stone ones worth doing.

He said buying the bolts, though it still loses money since enchanted are worth less than regular onyx bolts.

Also, buying dragonstones and making them into enchanted bolts (the whole process) would actually lose 103gp per bolt. That's not including the leftover 2 bolts that wouldn't get enchanted per stone (Stone makes 12 bolts, enchant only does 10) so every 5 spells, you'd have to cast an extra spell.

Buy diamond bolts, and enchant them into (e).

 

Atm no bolts are really worth it, diamond isn't much cash, onyx isn't profit I think at all unless you make nats and alch them, dragon bolts don't sale lowest. Blame rsbots.net for their script >.<. Just wait awhile for things to stable.

 

So as of now the Bolt Enchanter bot is pretty well pointless?

The PROPER way to do this is to do the math for 100, so you can see a more full scale profit

My method requires fletching as you shouldn't buy the diamond bolts already made (that would be LESS PROFIT AND XP)

adamant bolts - 100 - 22,600
Diamond bolt tips - 100 - 61,800
law rune - 20 - 5,630
cosmic rune - 10 - 690

(I didnt include earth runes as you better be smart enough to use a staff)

Total price for materials for 100 - 90,720
Sell price for 100 Diamond bolt (e) - 98,100

THAT IS ALMOST 8k per 100, I spend 10m at least while buying materials which is roughly 10,000 arrows.

so take 100 * 8k = 800,000 PROFIT in less than an hour
