Best Whey Protein Powder flavor?

Hey so I just bought some vanilla protein powder and it is disgusting. I usually like vanilla flavored stuff but I can't even put this shit down.

So is there a better flavor? Or are they are awful.
I saw chocolate, strawberry, and cookies n' cream at the store.

Or does anyone have any advice on how to make it taste better?

 

Who cares about flavor? Just chug it down, takes only a few seconds. All you've to care about is that you're getting your protein for the day

Cookie and cream is the beast. Walmart by my house sells some made by the company body fortress. It tastes amazing.

 

I only drink chocalate, first time I drank it I was gagging, so now I just chug that shit down.

 

vanilla tastes like shit, i drink triple chocolate milkshake. Thats the best stuff out there. Atleast in my opinion

 

I know its so bad, but ok I guess I'll buy some chocolate.

Does anyone know if strawberry is good?

 

Depends what brand. The strawberry I have tried wasn't bad, but then again I bought it to make shakes out of it when I wanted to indulge. Bananas, vanilla ice cream, and strawberry protein powder is delicious.

I have tried both of these and thought they were amazing at the start. But these are the kind of flavours that get disgusting very fast. Your safest bet is to just get plain flavours like vanilla and chocolate because you can't go wrong with them. You aren't really supposed to enjoy protein shakes so if you are looking for a flavour that you will actually enjoy immensely you are probably out of luck

I look at my protein shake as a chore. I just mix a scoop in a bottle of water and chug that crap down lol. Make sure to eat a salty cashew afterwards =D

 

This is from experience, i've tried alot of different flavours, banana, vanilla, chocolate, mint chocolate, cookie dough, cookes and cream, strawberries and cream, you name it,

Though you should not always stay on the same flavour, I HIGHLY recommend Optimum nutritions DOUBLE RICH CHOCOLATE. This shit tastes exactly like a milo, I shit you not it is the best flavour you will get and a great quality whey.

I do not recommend any other flavour as they are all just good for 1 container max.

 

I have a Cookies n' Cream Whey Protein Powder, and i love drinking it, really good flavor and also it not hard to take down, as i enjoy drinking it cause it taste really good. I reckon you should try Cookies n' Cream Flavor one.

 

I'd rather struggle down a high protein bad tasting drink..

I'm guessing you just put it in your bottle and shake it up. Don't do that.. it tastes bad..

What I do with my whey protein is I mix the protein itself (chocolate flavor) with bananas, berries, peanut butter, and sometimes yogurt or ice cream and put it all in the blender. It'll taste just like a chocolate shake.

 

Do you use milk or water?

 

I drink Muscle Milk and all their flavors are pretty good-tasting. I bought a giant tub of chocolate mint and it's good but, but I would have rather have bought vanilla because every once in a while I like to blender up some Muscle Milk with fruits and stuff. It still tastes great with chocolate mint - but I'm sure it's way better with vanilla.

Normally, I would personally use skim milk just because it tastes that much better, but water works perfectly fine too and still tastes good/average.

 

The vanilla flavor is my favorite. At first it tasted funky, but after a while it starts tasting better/good. I've tried other flavors and nothing compares to it. Its the best flavor to mix things with, so if you have a blender I suggest using strawberries, bananas, ice, and milk. The more stuff you add, the better it tastes. Give it another shot before writing it off.

 

Chocolate isn't something I'd necessarily recommend. It's alright at first, but after a while, I dread downing a shake. (this is creatine + whey though)

 

Sweet cream and double chocolate.

 

Something nice to do is get a chocolate flavored shake and add some peanut butter. It makes it nice and creamy, and also adds a bit of extra protein as well.
