Best Armor For Melee Training at 70 Def

What is the most effective armor to use at this level for training purposes?
Edit: I have 70 Defense.

 

Bandos or void

 

Could you be more specific please? Do you mean the chest plate along with the tassets and boots?

 

Void > bandos but chestplate and tassets with dragon boots

 

I coulda sworn void armor has worse stats than bandos.

 

For defensive its bad but you said for training so it is the best option as it has higher DPS (Damage Per Second)

 

Void doesn't give offensive bonuses though

 

It has a set effect when the helm, body, legs and gloves are worn. Therefore it is the best for training.

Whatever really. depends on your bank just go with bandos and you will be fine

 

Use Guthans and afk at bandits for decent xp/hr.

 

It generally depends. As stated void melee can be very good for its set boost. As also stated Guthans can be good to afk bandits with, although you can only train controlled or defense I think. If you are doing slayer, use bandos chest plate and tassets along with slayer helm as the slayer helm gives a damage % boost for slayer tasks.

 

I use Bandos for all my melee training. It's good defence bonus since you are 70 def.. I wouldn't switch to void until like 85-90 def.

 

Well it depends if you're after more def, or more strength? and it also depends on what monster you're fighting and the style they use.
You might want to rswiki the monster you're training on. The rswiki page will provide it's attack style, and then perhaps rswiki the barrows armours and find the best defensive one for you (if you're after defence)

However if you have the money, just blow it on bandos!
