Gone girl

So I watched the film 'Gone Girl' today..

It was amazing and I would recommend all to watch it. It features Ben Affleck, who is one of the main protagonists, and also one of my favourite actors.

It is about a woman called Amy, Rosamund Pike, who meets a man called Nick, Ben Affleck. Their marriage is seemingly perfect at the beginning until something goes wrong and arguments take place like normal relationships. Amy then goes missing, and it is seemingly her husband, Nick, who is to blame. The question is, was it him?

The ending is weird to say the least

 

I saw the whole movie on my 9 hour trip from florida back to europe, was a great experience. One of the best movies I've ever seen.

 

Yeah I agree and I have watched many films too. Kept me interested from start to finish that is for sure.

Fucking damnit. 2.5 hours of wasted time. Total shit ending XD Hate this movie lol. I was so interested and immersed and excited with the story and they end it liek that. 7.5/10 because three fourths of the movie was good.

It was great, that's what makes me so mad XD Take a great plot and then throw it away with a crummy ending.

 

The ending is different in the book. There's more to it, but the ending is there for your own interpretation on what will happen next. It's like a cliff hanger. Will everything go to plan? What will happen next?

Seen this last year and I was blown away. Awesome movie and i recommend watching it.

 

Yeah and that's pretty dumb IMO. No closure/resolution. Just leaves you with a sour taste in your mouth. Like why watch at all, nothing even changed. I understand other people like that crap, but I don't lol. Good movie otherwise though.

I guess everyone has their own tastes. I'm 50/50 in this situation, but for this movie I thought it was done great

 

Watched this recently and I can honestly say this is the only movie that I liked Ben in. I loved the movie, and man isn't Rosamund Pike something else :love: The ending was a bit meh but I don't know how I would have liked it to end any differently.

 

Thought so too, if he killed her at the end I would have be happy.

 

If he had killed her after she came back I feel like he would have been caught for sure unless while she was gone... He had been planning some super elaborate murder to stage it like an accident. That would have made for an interesting ending.

 

I would not have cared if he was caught. Killing Amy would make this movie 100X better in my point of view, she was a psychotic bitch and the ending left me feeling like the whole film was pointless.
