No reason was given to me directly. I was able to piece back together what happened by talking to staff and through gossip. My ban reason is a link to a hidden thread.

I can’t be certain the ban was due to quote #1 “admit to possessing stolen gold” or quote #2 “knowingly bought and sold hacked/stolen goods”. Thus, I will be going over both cases.


If you admit to possessing stolen gold and we have a verified copy of the admission, that's all we require to ban you.

Buying and selling gold is my job, buying and selling gold is what I do every single day. I talk with dozens of individuals in context of this job on a daily basis. Some of which I consider myself friends, or close enough to talk in a more informal way. Crack jokes, “light troll”, cut corners in my sentences. Whatever. When you do this day in, day out, from dawn to dusk and often into the early hours of the morning, every day, it just so happens that you say dumb shit every once in a while.


One of those moments is just like July 5th, when the following exchange took place.

I used the “adjective” dirty to describe this gold that I dumped because I had been selling it to various sites and chinese accounts. I bought it in bulk from a reputable staker that does not partake in hacking.

If there are any other cases where I could have said something, in which maybe, someone somewhere thought it might’ve meant I was handling hacked gold, I will disprove it just as easily.


He was banned because he knowingly bought and sold hacked/stolen goods.


Last Thursday, I sold pingy 530m. His account was shortly banned afterwards.

Sure, I was pushy during that sale. Jagex hours were coming up, it was already pushing 3am EST before the pingy trade even took place and I wanted to get to bed ASAP.


Full context of my side of the trade as follows

I was offered 2.2b+ at a fair price.

I split it as follows

I directly resold 1050m to one of my repeat customers. He was not banned.

My worker took 100m, then another 600m of the money, spread it on two accounts. She sold the “hacked” gold but both accounts were banned for a different 500m+ 2 hours after on the same account.

The last 530m went to pingy.

I had pingy receive the gold directly from the seller. I didn’t want to lose the sale, so I was pushy with pingy.

You might be quick to notice that I placed a third of this so-called hacked gold on my own accounts. I’m sure I don’t need to say this, but I will anyways. If I knew it was hacked gold, I wouldn’t let my worker pick it up.


After asking the seller about the gold, he did confirm the gold was hacked. Here are my full chat logs with this person up until the ban.

It’s a shame things went down like this, but moving hacked gold is not part of my business model nor something I support. I’ve never bought gold I knew was hacked, I will never buy gold knowing it is hacked, and I would not have bought this gold knowing it was hacked.


Us gold buyers and sellers will always have to deal with such events, but that’s how things are in the underground markets.

After further discussion with staff, you are to remain banned for knowingly trading hacked gold to your customers and exposing your customers to further risks of loss. Feel free to post a pardon if you would like.
