Anyone Reset For Buying Gp?

Has anyone bought gp and been reset? As in you've never sold or traded large amounts of gp to anyone but got reset when buying gp?

 

I don't know what you're definition of "large amounts" is, but I've received and sold amounts of up to 550M numerous times within a short period of a time (few days), and none of my accounts have been reset or banned.

 

bought 625M from a seller on sythe, he was reset for over a billion, and I was reset for all my gp. more than 625M .

 

At first I thought that won't happen. Even R2Pleasent noted in his article that Jagex won't touch buyers who don't resell. But judging from reports appearing lately, he was wrong...

 

I don't think I've heard of anybody being reset for GP simply for buying. The guy who posted above is the one exception, but he was hit because the seller got reset and since a larger amount of gold (500M+) was just transferred over to his account, he got wiped as well.

Other than that incident though, I have not heard of anybody getting wiped who was just buying GP. Buying still seems pretty safe right now.

 

There are a few of those cases where the buyer gets reset, but not as common as sellers getting reset. You should be fine as long as you keep to small amounts and don't go reselling.

 

i got reset yesterday for 1.2b, spoke to the buyer and hes account wasn't even touched. it seems that usually the seller gets the beating

 

ive lost 600m being reset. it fkn sucks.

 

Never even heard of that.
