Have you seen people going "Open Hot/Cold", "Frosty Flowers x2" and not understood what they meant? Or did you know it was a "flower-game", but simply never really got how to play? Well, this guide will show you all you need to know about Flower Games.

Hot or Cold
Other name(s): H/C

General Gist:
H/C is probably the biggest flower-game. You can find hosts spread out between all worlds saying Hot/Cold x2.
Hot or cold runs off the the concept of hot and cold colors. After you've placed your bet, you'll say either "hot" or "cold." The host will plant the flower, and you'll either win or lose.

Step by Step:
1. Find a TRUSTED host. Hosts offering x3 are generally scammers.
2. Place a bet with your host.
3. After the bet is placed, decide whether you want to bet on a hot or a cold flower.
4. Pay careful attention to the host planting the flower and see whether you win/lose.
5. If you win, collect your money, if you lose, better luck next time!

Frosty Flowers
Other name(s): FF

General Gist
Like Hot and Cold, Frosty Flowers also runs off the concept of Hot/Cold flowers, but unlike Hot/Cold you do not call your flowers. Once you've placed your bet, the host will plant the seed and if it's a cold flower, you win. Hint the name "Frosty Flower."

Step by Step

3. After the bet is placed, the host will plant the flower.

Flower Poker
Other name(s): FP

General Gist
Unlike Hot and Cold/Frosty Flowers, FP is not based on the concept of the hot/cold flowers, and the person betting also plants seeds. It's played basically the same as real poker.

Step by Step
1. Find a TRUSTED host. Hosts offering x3 are generally scammers.
2. Place a bet with your host.
3. After the bet is placed, you will most-likely walk to a less-crowded area with the host to play.
4. You will each plant 5 flowers.
5. Compare the flowers to each other, 2 of the same color is a pair, 3 of the same color is a pair of 3, 2 set of the same color is 2 pairs, etc. Black and White flowers is an auto win.
6. If you win, collect your money, if you lose, better luck next time!

ABC Flowers
Other name(s): ABC

General Gist
Like Flower Poker, ABC isn't based on the direct color of the flowers, but the name. Each flower has a specific name assigned to it and you want to get the flower's name closest to A.

Step by Step
1. Find a TRUSTED host. Hosts offering x3 are generally scammers.
2. Place a bet with your host.
3. After the bet is placed, both you and the host will plant 1 flower.
4. Look at the host's and your's flowers and check which one is closest to the letter A.
5. If you win, collect your money, if you lose, better luck next time!

* = Most clans don't use Black/White as they are too rare. They instead offer prizes when these are planted, and the flower is re-planted immediately.

Couple things for more common rules.

Frosty flowers; white or black is x3. All major clans offer this.

In flower poker; white or black is not so much an auto-win but simply the best hand. If both players got one it would be a tie, if it were auto-win, whoever planted it first would win IMO.

In ABC games; white and black are almost always taken as replant. I know for a fact they are in Dragon Dyce.

Objective: Two Players Place a Designated Wager on a Host and Both Plant 5 Mithril Seeds (Flowers) and Get the Highest Possible Combination Of a Hand. Whoevers Hand is Higher Wins!
Royal Flush> 5 Red Flowers
Straight Flush> Red, Orange, Yellow, Rainbow, Blue
Four of a Kind> 4 of any Flower
Full House> 3 of one Flower and Two of Another
Three of a Kind> 3 of the Same Flower and Two Random Flowers
Two Pair> 2 Of Two Types of Flowers and one Extra Random Flower
Straight> 5 of any random Flower. Not In Order
One Pair> 2 of One Type of Flower and 3 Extra Random Flowers

 

Flush is also 5 hot/5 cold I believe?

With Flower poker, if a black or white is planted, who wins the auto-win?

Also in Hot/Cold, generally the better wins when a black or white is planted.

 

Traditionally, who ever plants the black/white get the win, as it is a part of their hand. Unless the other player manages to tie with one themselves.

However clans such as Fishy who have basically put as many rules in as possible to ensure the odds are strongly in their favour have implemented the rules that black/white = host win, regardless of who planted it.

It is always best to check with the clan what their rules are before playing. Most clans still offer black/white = best hand for who ever planted the flower.

I've seen a lot of clans that are now having black/white = wild in FP. This is a little more fair IMO. Obviously it's best for the customer to have black/white=autowin, but at least it's not what Fishy is doing.

 

Last I heard fishy changed their FP rules. Something like host wins on 1x tie but there is no commission. I could be completely wrong.

 

I actually FPed with a fishy host yesterday for the lulz and I actually did tie. He said it was a replay, and the second game was also a tie, so he won. I guess their tie rules are win on 2x ties.
