Ban Rate for Buying Gold

If I am planning on buying just 50 dollars worth of gold on a very high level account, is it worth even the slightest ban risk for the extra 30m I could make by not buying bonds? Thanks!

 

When trading the person always put something in trade like air runes, fire runes, staff; basically crap.

That should reduce the ban rate to around 0.000000000001%.

This is what everybody is doing now.

That's not true what above person said, there is always a risk of being banned for buying / selling gold and it depends on your luck. The risk of being banned increases depending on how much gold you buy / sell per month. Selling gold has a higher ban rate than buying.

I'd also suggest that (to minimize the risks):

- Use account with a decent total level and clean history
- Do not buy the gold from goldfarmers that sell high amounts of gold and use smaller supplier

In overall you will most likely be fine as the amount you are buying is fairly low, if you were trading over few billions per month then you would have quite good change of being banned.

I've only purchased small amounts... $15.00 worth once, and $10.00 worth another time but did not get banned. This was on my main as well. It wouldn't hurt to put in junk items as others mentioned.

 

Its very low. Only reason u'll get banned is if the goldseller is flagged

 

You should be fine. But I wouldn't trade using a precious account or anything.

 

I've never been banned, and i've bought and sold bils. There are lots of things you can do to lower the risk I suppose, such as trading junk but I don't think that would really fool them. If you're flagged and have multiple people trading the same account daily, it's fairly obvious.

Unless you're moving bills on the daily you have almost nothing to worry about.

Also, I disagree with the "add in random crap" method.
If anything, that just makes your trade stand out more...

Yup, it's pretty safe as long as you aren't the person actively trading gold. I put in items that look like you're helping a friend such as potions, noob gear, noted food I.E. Tuna, lobsters, or a rare. If there is like 10 items that nobody would ever trade someone and it had like 100M gold in the trade its clear its a rwt if it's reviewed.
