Santa Hat Speculations

So I bought a santa hat yesterday for around 175m with money I made from dicing. I have the full intention of selling it later on but I was wondering when would be the best time. If there is a specific time, like mid-december because of chrismas, or a specific cash value please let me know.

 

It's hard to say with bots still being out.. In my opinion the best time to sell is about a week before Christmas. I would be very very happy if it broke 200m

 

Christmas time would be the best, I bought one in 2008 and it crashed the week after Christmas if that helps.

 

Christmas for sure, 2-3 days before should be perfect.

 

If you want to be safe, sell mid december not a few days prior. Most people will be selling a few days prior.

Keep in mind gp is about to rise, and the higher gp rises the more rares fall in terms of in game gp price. With the announcement that rsbuddy is gone you may see another mini crash in rare prices.

i dont think it wil go to 1.50 a mill thats 3x what rsgp's price is. you can just buy cash and get the hat

Make it a long term investment if you can afford it.

 

Rare items are GUARANTEED to go up over time.
These are the only items, along with third age and other treasure trail rewards, that you can rest assured will make you money.
They MAY dip for a short time, but dont fear.
They WILL go up in the longeterm.
So i guess you just gotta ask how long you plan on holding onto it?

 

I was planning on holding on to the santa until I had enough money for torva. I have no interest in keeping rares for the looks, it was just an investment I made to hopefully turn a profit.

 

I just got rid of 7 Santas for this very reason.

I wouldn't hold onto them for now. Yes, they will go up after time, but they'll probably dip down to 160m or lower with current circumstances. With gold on the rise it really isn't a stable investment.

 

Rares will always go up.

 

I saw santas drop to ~150m. This was several weeks ago but it shot right back up in a couple days. I'm pretty sure that santas or any rare will always continue to rise no matter what.

 

Santa's always go up around Christmas, funnily enough.
