What is runescape like now?

I got excited when I heard about "Bot Nuke Day" because if it worked, it would most likely make the game fun again. So did it work? Are bots crippled? I am considering coming back but I don't want to be getting 1 iron an hour because im competing with 16 bots.

 

Bot nuke day was good although the new graphics and new armours and weapons just fucked up runescape since 07 when the Godswords came out.

 

It indeed crippled all large bot companies. Wait for a week or 2 because RSBuddy claims to be functional in 20 hours.

 

Nuke day was a success but im doubtful if it will stay bot free for more then a month or so.

 

I think the real question is... why were you mining iron?

 

bots are comming back tommorow at lunchtime, well rsbuddy atleast, thats a good portion tho.

 

Ill be interested in seeing how RSbuddy works. They must have had to change a lot of things to work around the new Jagex programming.

 

We'll have to see what happens with RSBuddy. RS is better now and much more easier to train in now, but it's simply not what it was.

Runescape is now a barren wasteland... everywhere you walk you hear wind howling, crickets creaking, and tumbleweeds blow across the landscape. A world that was once alive and thriving with robots is now on its deathbed.

No jk but it sure is empty now There is a massive difference between the players online before the bot nuke and the players online currently. There are actually empty training spots now that you don't have to compete with bots. It is weird! But I am enjoying it so far. I do miss botting my dungeoneering though..

 

Things have become much more peaceful.

I was going to be getting 99 Slayer next week on my skilling main, but because of bot-free spots I will be getting it today.

Also, on my PvM account, I have enjoyed bot-free killcounts at Armadyl

 

Bots are coming back up. RSBuddy should be up within a day. So I wouldn't say it was all that effective. Maybe for the people who ran massive bot farms and paid for servers. Yeah, the downtime probably gave them a real loss of profit.

But yeah, it will be losing its peace really soon.

All the bot nuke thing did was fuck the eonomy because of speculation.
The bots are gone yes, but they'll be back soon.

I am a botter but I enjoy the situation at the moment. One way I want bots back, the other way I don't. What about allowing me and only me to bot on Runescape ^_^

Refer to the Runescape Cheating section, Snow Patrols thread "End of RSBuddy?". Jacmob has walked away from RSBuddy and urged players to go back to playing legitimate. All of you guys who are expecting bots to be back to normal anytime soon should start preparing for legitimate play.
