Andrew Christopher Gower Only Owns 38.35% Of Jagex

Well I really didn't know this Andrew Gower only owns 38.35% of Jagex. That's quiet a lot in a company I know, but who owns the other 61.65%? His brother and who else :s

Your information is a bit outdated, he actually sold 100% of his shares around December 2010, and the stocks are mostly owned by investors in the USA right now. He has started up a relatively 'new' company though the name of it escapes my memory right now. Its a Java-game based company though.

 

Jagex is actually owned mostly by big investors, which explains all their money hungry actions. They are quite a large company now and need to focus on the growth and development and maximum revenue in order to please all the investors.

I read somewhere that Andrew Gower was starting up a new company (or had already started), and was to be working on another big game. If you google some more information about him I'm sure you can find details.

You are correct. He also holds 90% of shares in that company. I wonder if he will make them famous like he did with Jagex.

 

Well 300+ people like his page on FB without him announcing anything or making a game, so possibly. Hopefully this game is better than his old one.

 

It is not uncommon for a founder to only own 30-50 percent of a company, but as stated about he now owns 0%. However the fact that private investors own %100 of the company seems a bit far fetched to me. There has to be previously experienced people with Jagex still, otherwise runescape would be dead, or completely different than it is now.

 

Nice find , It could be like manchester united all over again , If the shares were public , Someone could actually buy enough shares to own Jagex LTD.

 

Most of the company is owned by private investors I'm pretty sure,I though Andrew sold all of his shares in Jagex a while ago?

 

He did, not too long before Free Trade returned. Coincidence?

 

Even if there was 3 shareholders, that'd still be the majority.

Then again, he owns 0% now.

 

And this is why RuneScape is dying, because Andrew and his brother ditched RuneScape for a new game their making. When those 2 left, everything started to go down hill.

 

Well now Jagex is sold, who did own the other % because surly, andrew just owning 38.35% of Jagex, it wasn't just down to him selling it. Did he just sell his % and the others still keep there own % or they all sold the company, or maybe Andrew had the biggest % of the company which is 38.35% and the others own like 15% if there's a couple of them. You understand where I'm coming from? Hopefully you do.

The more Power you have the More say you have.

The more say you have the more money you can get...

The owner of a company such as "Jagex" will sell 49% of the shares this way he can make money but can not be over powerd or have no say in it.

But forget all that now, He sold the rest of his shares and left jagex.

 

So he had the biggest amount of shared then I guess? He must have if he can sell Jagex, because surly he can't just sell jagex and the other people who had shares get nothing, would they have agreed to selling this? Or did he just sell his big percent of his shares :S?
