Leechers (newcomers) that trade on sythe

Everyone must start some where, people who are at the extremes like mentioned in the first post are obviously scammers. The rest of us will eventually be sorted into the group of "Regulars" as time passes.

 

Everyone should start somewhere, that's true, but not going first, that's a different thing..

 

i hope they make a rule that you need 300+ post count to sell accounts. That way people can't just scam people, get banned, and make a new account and sell the account the next day.
This would help take care a lot of scammers

Now i agree that 70% of new comers are attempting scams so that is a problem.. and the issue is we have moderators who see these posts that are ludacris and they have typical scammer attitudes/comments and their approach is sketchy.. they should be warned or removed or posts locked..

Their needs to be an official way to do trades here imo.. like automatic over like 100$ trade OMMs have to be used or what not

and just decrease the fees that way more an more people use bc its not to expensive and worth while for the safety.. and the omms get more customers so they get more money.

 

There have been people with way more than 300 posts that have been banned for account scamming. It should be up to the buyer to take every precaution necessary in order to ensure a successful trade (use an OMM/MM, do a recovery test, take screenshots of all parts of the trade and last IP the account logged in from)

This is a horrible idea that would only lead to even more spam than is already here.

its not even funny how many scammers there are in the account section.
its nearly impossible to find an account that someone wont recover
sythe needs to start coming up with ways from preventing this... like IP or Computer adress banning them.
Ive been scammed twice and after they both got banned BOTH of them made a new account and i had to get them banned again. but they probably just made a new account right after that

 

A rule such as this would also tank the hell out of registrations of people who are interested in trading. However, the truly dedicated spammers would just join, do their posts, and then do the scams regardless.

Also, dynamic IPs/proxies.

No... Recovery tests work if you have enough information on the account. Just yesterday I was able to recover a locked account that I bought from a friend who lives in Canada (I live in the Southern U.S.A). However, I had plenty of information on the account and was able to recover it with ease. Location isn't the absolute factor in determining whether or not Jagex grants you a successful appeal, unless you are the the original owner of the account and are recovering from the same IP with which you created the account (in which case your appeal will be accepted no matter what.)

 

I suggest you buy accounts from trusted users only, and check into their vouches to see successful transactions, satisfied customers and check for scammer reports on that user.

OP: Those kind of newfags piss me off! This one guy wanted to buy 60m from me I had 25 vouches atm, he had 0. I had about 500+ posts above him as well. he told me i go first. makes no sense, anyway he scammed me 5m i said ok gj you got 5m...which is nothing tbh. so i didnt care much. anyway i hate fags like that, and something about posting req? if so, love the idea

 

I'm someone legit who just wants to be part of this community. I'm looking to buy GP, stake on occasion, then sell my profits.

I recently got scammed twice. In my signature, click the 2nd X, and tell me what you think of it. I actually did get scammed, and stupid Giddy just believed him because he has more vouch's/higher postcount. He blames it because someone would have dropped my chaotic weps/firecape if they were actually hacking me. So since they weren't dropped, he was unbanned and 350M gone. Please tell me your not a fucking idiot and see this for what it really is.

I've also tried to get in contact with Giddy (since he unbanned him) and he has been advoiding me every time.

 

There's definitely something not right there....I hadn't seen that part of the report before.

 

I am a newcomer - That doesn't mean i will be scamming. Though I can see why you may have trust issues with newcomers- not all newcomers should be stereotyped as scammers. Just saying
