What you need is a nice virtual and physical RAM and a good cooler. That's all.

To be honest, I'd say it's better to invest in a VPS if you just want to bot.

That could run about 7/8, I think?

Thanks, I already have invested in multiple Photon VPS's. This is more an investment with some extra money and in the long run makes better in the economic sense than paying $82 per month for a 6 bot VPS. In comparison I could only get 7.5 months of VPS use for the amount of money I'll be paying for the computer.

On the specs I provided would you say the RAM and the cooler are of high enough quality? Maybe I'll need to purchase a seperate fan/heatsink instead of using the stock one provided?

Yep. Obviously, a water cooler is the best thing around, and makes no sound, however they're damn expensive. Yours is fine though ^_^

If it is purely for botting, might I recommend a slightly lower-end graphics card?

Also, have you factored in electricity costs? I'm assuming you are going to have it running 24/7 on multiple accounts. It could add up.

^ As he said. Electricity costs will add up, and you have no idea how the RSGP market will be in 6-7 months. For all you know, gold could be 10c/mill.

VPSes are always a better choice, you never know when the RSGP market could flop and outright suck as a money making option. That PC will run like 8-10 bots.. definitely not worth the amount you'll be paying. It'll be like 2 months before you actually see any profit coming from it.

Not to mention that you'll need a good internet connection as well.

    Electricity is already covered.

    Internet is also fine.

I'm not denying what you are saying regarding the gold market but I can't see prices falling anywhere bellow .40 per mill in a month so I can easily recover the cost of the computer there.

I have 4 frost dragon accounts, 5 99 RC accounts and various BDK/GDK and SG accounts.

If that machine was running 8-10 bots I'd be seeing around $1400 back per month at the current rate of .50-.60 with the accounts I have. Not to mention running two 4GB VPS's on top of that. That means in the first month of botting on the computer I would have already paid for it + around $500-600 pure profit.

I appreciate your input but this isn't something I'm doing randomly, I have considered most things and that's why I havn't went for a top of the range computer. This is more of a test. I'm just wondering if the computer is sufficient for my needs and if not, what will I be looking to upgrade/downgrade.

Seems like good specs to me and i think around 7-10 bots, how much is this computer ? or are you buying it in parts and building it?

Well, as stated. If you wish to save, a lower graphics card would suffice (as you run it on min anyway)

$600 as a bundle but you need to build it yourself. That includes case and other things also.

    Ok thanks.

Looks good for botting and also will be able to run most modern games on med-highish setting.

I would recommend you get the ATI Radeon 5770 instead of your currently chosen graphics card, it will run just as well and will save you somewhere in the region of £50.

He said that the computer is pre-built, so it isn't really an option. But the price for those specs is great.

600$ for this computer is well worth it. You'll make it back so quickly ^_^

I beg to differ. A Corsair h70 is a nice water cooler for only around $100 depending where you buy it.

Using one right now. It's a good card for Runescape and lower end games. But throw something a little more graphic intense at it and you'll see lag. Unless you plan on using it just for RS, I'd suggest a more powerful one than the 5770.

I'd say everything is in order. The cooling isn't really a big issue unless you're maxing out your cpu or overclocking. Liquid cooling would b preferable to air if you will be reaching higher temperatures. The ram is only 1600mhz. Could be faster and there could be more of it. You're RAM would be the first thing to upgrade in order to run more bots since that's where you're going to be slightly limited.

Aside from that, it is a good deal for the price.

Ram is fine, 1333MHZ is all you really need, and the h70 all in one is pretty horrible, don't bother calling it liquid cooling it's a shitty all in one.
High end Air Coolers are better(Noctua D14 which is $25 cheaper, google D14 vs h70 and everyone says D14 unless you move your case around a ton/can't fit it).

But from what I can see in his first post, this PC is being built for the purpose of playing RuneScape, therefore the 5770 would be the most prudent option in my opinion.

Hi mate, i suggest you get the help of KMJT and perhaps buy his guide. I heard it's very helpful and sure it will be of use to you.
