Disallowing the employees of business's advertised on Sythe to have there own thread.

Only people I see being against this are the ones bypassing the limit. Should be changed without community input.

 

I like this, I also wish there was something against 20 discords hiring 1 person to create a thread in that section each, just to have them all leading to the same person and prices under an "employer"

 

Well you can easily work around this by making your employees use different discord in your server, and no one will know who they are, but I think it's a positive change overall for market health

 

It's the reason we have a strict non compete in our workers agreements.

Support - larger market users who have employees working for them to the point they can have multiple threads going for the same business just creates a monopoly and is not fair on the smaller, independent market users attempting to trade.

 

I feel like I've known of people doing this where it worked out well, but I can't recall properly atm. I'm all for supporting this, aslong as it's only about the same markets. For example if the business I'm working for is selling 07GP and I'd like to sell some personal CS skins, I feel like I should still be able to. I feel like this wasn't clarified.

The fact that everyone wants this changed but allows bots to bump posts is beyond me.

 

I'd say let employees have their own threads in any market but make the punishment more severe for the user and the employer, if they are caught abusing the multiple thread rule. I don't think its fair to restrict employees from having their own personal threads and honestly not allowing them to bump their own threads during work hours kind of sucks too.

If I misunderstood the issue then lmk but thats my take on it.

 

In IRL cases, a bunch of mechanisms are used to tackle market manipulation situations, with one of the most notable being shifting the burden of proof

I.e. in EU competition law companies can be required to prove that certain pricing agreements don’t have anti-competitive effects if there’s evidence suggesting potential cartel behavior

Maybe this can serve as inspiration?

 

If someone works for me and during their spare time they are a graphics designer, they wouldn't be allowed to advertise on here?


I think users should have the right to post threads in the market sections, regardless who they work for.


Polls like this should be only voted by providers here on Sythe and their employees, not some randoms that don't sell products on here and only surf the report a scammer section day & night.

 

I support this change. It should be up to the employer to advertise their websites, products and services. We don't see people advertising on personal accounts when it comes to FaceBook, LinkedIn and Google Ads - I think the concept is the same.

Advertisements should come from the business/employer account regardless of if it's automated or manual.
