    An inside guide to P-Mod Bot Detection...

    Here is a leak I found in the P-Mods Forum...about tips they use for Bot Detection...please modify your scripts accordingly.

    This thread is dedicated to easily identifying bots and borgs. And is a work in progress.

    Please feel free to bump and add to your profile for easy access. :)

    Please post any bots/borgs you find on the MBB Extermination Services thread Quick find code: 58-59-473-60177728 .

    The idea behind it is to have all the info needed to ID bots/borgs in one place. If anyone has anything to add please do so.

    Bot = Sweatshop macro operated character, generally low level previously seen cutting trees etc, following a distinct pattern.

    Borg = Sweatshop worker, these are player controlled and generally found fighting higher levelled NPC's such as Green/Blue Dragons.

    Macroer = Generally a "normal player" using an illegal program (a Macro) to play the game for them, basically used when doing a repetitive task, such as picking flax, fishing etc.

    Forg = A sweatshop worker farming gold on a "normal players account.

    Akfers = Away from keyboard players.

    Special thanks to; Warlock_him, Deezy2650, Mystrys, Scotter_Ter, Poomehellt, and Yogirasu

    Without this great group of people this thread wouldn't have been possible!

    ~~NOTE~~ DO NOT download any 3rd party programs to aid in getting tip for bots. DO NOT do it! It's not worth it.

    ~~Special Note~~

    DO NOT download any 3rd party programs to aid in getting tips for bots.

    DO NOT do it!

    It's not worth it!

    This is not how we get these tips and is not in any way safe!

    Doing so will most likely result in a perm ban and the loss of your modship. So please don't.

    Our tips are solely from many hours of watching suspects, tips from other players and mods and the brains of those great hunters that came before us.

    Plum

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    A note from DMPG -
    There are a few issues that might occur during a bust or after with pmods that have their pm set open to all.
    For example while doing a varrock ess bust some player's can get upset and become very hostile and verbally assault pmods trying to do the bust there.
    Take a look at The Tricky Situations Guide
    Quick find code: 8-9-339-59957506
    Quite often pmods receive pm’s after a bust from players seen as suspects during the bust. They might ask if they reported or plead that they weren’t breaking any rs rules.
    Do not comfirm that they were reported.
    It seems best once a player is placed on a suspect list (all) on the list should be submitted to Jagex so that Jagex can determine what truly was going on.
    For example while doing a bust at the bandit camp for afk players many times players sent pm’s later saying “I was using the washroom, getting a drink, on the forums, watching tv…”
    The reference material at the bottom of The Tricky Situations Guide is very helpful as well.
    Thanks to all that come out and help with Superduperluper Bigbangbotborg Busts... all are welcome to join in the busts anytime.
    Ways we can help ICU get thru bot lists faster:
    1. Work on getting our % of real bots up and our # of real players turned in down. ICU investigates all names turned in and if we are turning in a large number of innocent players that is taking away from the investigations and banning of the bots.
    2. Make your lists simple for example:
    Green dragons chaos tunnels
    name1
    name2
    name3
    name4
    Etc. No need to list worlds just a straight list so they can get it into the system quickly.
    3. Indicate a space in a name with an _. For example Plum_nutty_1
    4. Double check any names you aren't sure of on high scores and try to work it out before posting. Names like ililillliill can be confusing to write down and only takes a second or 8 to check on high scores.
    Identifying green dragon borgs/Forgs:
    To be updated soon, gathering info.
    Clothing:
    Black Dhide (they told us it makes them hit harder)
    Banods Tassets
    Full Dragon
    Skill cape and hood (who wears skill cape hoods?)
    Games necklace
    Anything a regular player would wear
    Names:
    As of right now any name you see, ie: regular players
    Travel to and from green dragons:
    *Dueling ring to cw bank/games neckalce to clan wars/run east to wildy dragons.
    *Glory to edge bank/run to north east entrance to chaos tunnels.
    *Glory to edge/run north west to green dragons wildy.
    *Game necklace to bounty hunter/games neckalce to clan war/run east to wildy green dragons.
    Locations you may find green dragon borgs:
    Wildy: East of Clan Wars
    Chaos Tunnels: the eastern entrances both upper and lower.
    Speaking:
    Most borgs/bots will not respond right away. You have to pester them into talking. It is our job after all to annoy them! :)
    Doing a dance or any emotes will also get their attention faster. They will even start to dance with you sometimes.
    Some can actually type pretty decent English.
    Stat Checking on High Scores:
    You may see some or all of the following,
    Any stats as they are now farming on the players account.
    *Note: Do emotes/ skill capes, follow them around and pester them. Keep typing Chinese phrases at them until they talk. As they are farming on the buyers account now they have been told not to talk Chinese. English or don't talk, so if you can bug them enough to talk Chinese your in business.
    Identifying Blue Dragons suspectat Gu'Tannoth.
    There are two ways of hunting for suspects from the blue drags. One is stand in the Castle Wars lobby waiting for them to tele in with their rings of dueling. Personally I walk to the Dragons lair and try and find the suspects at work.
    Quests: Watchtower
    The most popular clothing
    Ava's accumalator (Without fail!)
    Dragon hide body (Black is most popular, but Green,Blue and Red are seen!)
    Dragon hide legs (Black is most popular, but Green,Blue and Red are seen!)
    Glory ammulet
    Anti Fire sheild
    Rune crossbow
    Addy crossbow
    Bone crossbow
    Magic longbow
    Forester hats
    Coif
    Archer helm
    Mithral bolts
    Bone bolts
    You hardly ever see a mixed set of differant colored drag hide body and legs. Rune crossbow is the most popular range weapon by quite some way. Seeing a Magic longbow is quite rare with a suspect. Forester hats seems to be to headwear of choice just lately the the blues, coifs and archer helms seem to becoming less popular. It could just be which familys I'm seeing at the Blues though.
    The main ammunition for crossbows is mithral bolts. (bones bolts and steel arrows are also seen!) Suspects seem not to bother picking their bolts up one used.
    Travel to/from castlewars/blue drags.
    Suspects tele out of the blue drags to the Castlse Wars lobby where they bank using a ring of duelling. they then mostly run most of the way back to the blues.
    Stats seen from suspects at the Blues.
    Range
    Hitpoints
    some other melee stats maybe. Sometimes no other stats apart from range and hits, sometimes one other melle stat, or sometimes all melee stats.
    Prayer sometimes
    Crafting sometimes
    Agility sometimes
    The Blue Dragons suspects are rangers. I have never seen a suspect attacking drags at Gu'tannoth using melee. Sometimes I suspect a suspect will have been trained in melee to be used at greens but "transferred" to the blues.
    Spotting & identifying Al Kharid tanning bots.
    This is a very similar technique to identifying sawmill bots.
    These bots also stop in the same places, sometimes for several seconds. They also tend to run for a short time before walking again.
    An ideal spot to watch it's movements is outside the Kebab shop. This is where the bot will stop on it's way from the bank and also on it's way back to the bank.
    These bots also won't answer questions asked of them.
    They also seem to take several seconds to actually trade the tanner when standing next to him.
    Identifying Ess Mining bots: P2P and F2P
    If you suspect a bot running Ess, spam the door.
    Spamming the door is frustrating for real players but will stop a bot and make it move erratically.
    They will walk to the north wall and pile up there on the inside and outside. Some also pile up East and West.
    You can also spot them in the bank. They walk in and hook to the wall before finally banking.
    Added note: Ess bots never stop to mine a star when it's between Varrock East bank and the ess teleport.
    *Old* Watch as they walk up to the bank window and stop then step back a space like they forgot something and then back to the bank window to finally bank.
    Credit: Deezy2650
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Yanille Ess

    These players are stopping near the gate going into the guild.

    If you go in and out of the door (spam yourself) you can stop them. They will bounce around the stairs and walk up to Wizard Distentor, then bounce again.

    Don't count high levels out and if you get yelled at just simply explain you are hunting for bots.

    Identifying Sawmill bots:

    Walking:

    If you suspect a bot working the Sawmill, follow them and note the places they stop.

    9 times out of 10 they will miss the bank.

    They always stop in the same places. Usually upon stopping they will run for a short burst then walk.

    A good spot to stand and watch is 10 steps south on the path (from the bottom of the steps) of the Saradomin statue (where Anna Jones sits on the bench). They stop here on the way to the Sawmill and on the way back to the bank. They also walk between the wall and the watch tower and stop at the daisys around the rocks piled up there.

    They don't usually speak. You can follow them and talk and sing to them all day without a word from them.

    Identifying Flax Field bots:

    Check the flax fields and take note of the people picking. Now return to the bank and watch for the names you saw at the field.

    Watch as they walk up to the bank window and stop then step back a space like they forgot something and then back to the bank window to finally bank.

    Cats on the flax still works as well.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Walking / Running:
    If you suspect a bot working the Flaxfields, follow them and note the places they stop.
    They always stop in the same places.
    A good spot to stand and watch is at the South West corner of the Courthouse in Camelot between the trees and daisy patches.
    They also stop at the daisys just off the North West corner of the Courthouse.
    They don't usually speak. You can follow them and talk and sing to them all day without a word from them...
