Best thing to smith/smelt.

I want to gain good xp a hour and either make a small profit or stay even.

What can i smith to do this?
What can i smelt to do this?
What can i smelt and smith to do this?

Uhm, nothing which is really "good xp".
Smithing isn't really the cheapest skill.

But best xp would be, superheating gold bars, using "gold gauntlets".
Which gives about 80-100k xp in magic/smithing p/hour.

Otherwise, smelt steel, which gives a profit.
Though, a really low xp rate, like 15-20k p/hour.

I get 24k xp a hour smithing iron knifes losing 3gp a hour.
Anything better than that on a level 3?

I don't know, when I did 99 smithing, I superheated from 50-99.
Cost me a large amount, but got me 99 magic/smithing, for only 70m.
Which is fairly cheap...I think...for me at least.

 

Did you use gold gaunts?
See im a lvl 3, but im planning on getting gaunts eventually.

hm, so if i use gaunts, smelt gold bars into ores, then make into gold bracelets i make money xD

 

Otherwise, just mine the gold ores, get 99 mining at it.
Then superheat to 99 magic/smithing, which should be like 240-250k ores.
Then make them into gold bracelets, and get 99 crafting also ?

That's all profit, + 4 99's - Though it'll take a month of 24/7.

I did that for 35-70 smith and made like 15m in a few days.

Smithing steel bars into cannonballs yields a 200-250k profit an hour at Neitiznot.

Gold bars with Goldsmithing Gaunts is 50-70k exp an hour doing it manually, but more if you use superheat. 40-99 costs 34mil doing this.

So you can spend about 150 hours of c balls to make the 35mil, and then smith gold bars till 99 in about 200-240 hours for 99.

Steel bars for f2p gets 90-120k profit an hour.
