BANNED FOR SWAPPING

i got hit with a RWT ban for 3 days, i loaned gp out to friends because i didnt play that much over 1 year ago. now dt2 update was coming out and i asked my loans back. my friend traded it to a swapper on rs3 and i collected it on osrs and now im banned for 3 days and it says wealth has been removed from your account .. what does this mean, its my first ban ever. i had gear some cash and some offers in the grand exchange what do they mean with wealth has been removed ..

 

Hey man sorry to hear this happened to you, whilst "swapping" isn't something that is really punishable, they do mix it up quite often with RWT.

They have stated from the beginning however, a lot like with SDMM etc that you trade this at your own risk, as you can flag yourself. RS3 is also more easier to detect than OSRS so that may be some of the reason why you got caught up and banned for a few days.

As for the wealth removal, yes they do often remove wealth/items, and the same with lowering/resetting some stats or EXP too.

 

I've personally only ever witnessed them removing your GP stack when "removing wealth." They've always left the items, in my experience.

 

Sadly gold swapping is no different to rwt as far as jagex is concerned. I had to stop offering swapping services a few years back because accounts/ips only involved in swapping would get rwt perm bans. If an account that gives you gold or you give gold to is flagged; you may get caught up in their mess sadly.

 

have u thought maybe your friend told u it was a swapper when it was in fact gold he purchased for you?

 

How many accounts were sharing the IP adress of the banned account?

What was the nature of those accounts?

Ouch.. that's unfortunate dude but there is not a lot you can do with RWT bans, your best case is to make a reddit post and hope that people believe what you say enough in hopes that it would gather the attention of a jagex Mod..

 

Dont feel bad, One my clan members lent tbowto a guy in our chat and got hit for rwt. dude got unbanned and still had the shadow but they took his 60m cash
