How to get Spotify without invitation

This is now fixed, no longer working.

Now I'll show you how to get Spotify without needing the invitation token. It might also open the world of Spotify worldwide, but, since I live in one of the "Spotify countries" I don't know if that is so. It's able in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK, France and Spain. So if you live in one of these contries it will work. Please try it even if you live outside these countries, it's worth a try.

Well, for you that don't know what Spotify is, I can tell you that it is a streaming program to stream millions of music tracks. It's free, and legal. Here's their official video.



Well, if you watched that video I'm sure it gave you an idea of what Spotify is. Now I'll head off to the important part, how to get it.

Registering

Originally you'll need an invitation token to get Spotify free. But there's a way to trick the system and get it without. To do this we'll use a fantastic thing called a proxy.
We'll use the proxy called Unblocker, so go to unblocker.biz. Type in the following:

Press go.

Then you'll get to a registering page. Since this proxy got an IP from UK, you'll only be able to register as you live in the UK. If you live in UK, then great! Everything you have to do then is registering as normal. In postal code type in M1 1AA.

Your done registering! Now let's download.

Downloading

This one is really fast and simple. Exit the proxy, and follow the instructions here.

You should now have downloaded and registered Spotify. If you live in the UK or outside one of the "Spotify countries" your done. Open it up and log in. If you live in one of the Spotify countries (except of UK), I'd recommend you do the last step too.

Editing profile

Quick and easy, as all the other steps.
Go to Spotify.com and log in.

Now, at the bottom of the page press edit profile.



Change the the country and postal code to your own.


Now you can open up Spotify, logging in and start listening to music!
If anyone from one of the non-Spotify countries tried this, please let me know if it worked.

Im in the uk and entered my correct post code and location and it worked fine. Do you know how this works? I gather the proxy is meant to fool resrictions from local surf control etc but how does it fool the Spotify registration process?

I honestly don't know much about how this works. All I know is that it will work with all UK proxies I've tried, and that's plenty.

 

Just tried to forward this info on to a friend as way around "no invite" and they're now asking for an invite code!? Looks like they've cracked down a bit does anyone have a way around this?

Same here. i've been trying forever to get an invite and hacks and codes but every trick didn’t work! i ended up getting an invite for $17 from http://bundlethemes.com/spotify-invite

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Spotify fixed this "glitch" in getting an account via proxy like this.
