will playing LONG hours result in a ban?

Hey I'm just throwing this out there, i play usually from 2pm until 3-4am which is 14 or so hours... i live in NY so this is very early in the morn.. i am a insomniac which means it is hard for me to sleep but i can fully function with 3 hours of sleep. What i was wondering is what jagex might see this as? maybe botting or something because of the long hours played... if a mod or anyone can post to clear things up it would be great. I always train different skills not only one too! Thanks again!

No, this should not result in a ban.
If you were to use the same movements/paths, while doing the same thing, and not chatting then you would be suspicious. But otherwise no, you would not be banned.

With no IP changes, no obvious suspicious activity, and no botting, you'll be fine.

Should be no issues.

Think about Zezima, he probably plays like 18 hrs a day and hes not banned.

 

Sorry to hear you have insomnia, that really sucks. I have mild insomnia as well. Awesome to hear you live in NY though .You won't get banned.

 

Never in our lifetine, i seriously 99.9% sure you won't be banned.

I play long hours (10), and I haven't been banned; but, I do keep to a very strange schedule: I'll train Ranged a little bit, Duel Arena, then maybe PvP if my friends are up to it. The main point of this message is if you're not being suspicious of botting ( repeatedly clicking the same spot over, and over, and over ), and keep a changing schedule you'll be alright.

 

I bot overnight (7 hours), no ban yet, got me 24 strength levels too ;D

 

If your IP has been flagged from previous accounts that you may have botted on then you might be introuble. Other than that I highly doubt you'd be banned as long as you were truley playing legit.

 

You mite receive allot of random's, but its also not good for your health to be playing periods like that mate.

You shouldn't be banned for playing that much unless you are botting.

Either way, 14 hours is a bit much.. Go out with friends, etc.

 

Mmm you probably won't get banned if you not actually botting. Jagex say they can detect bots so your in no worry.

Plus i think you play for far too long... maybe you should think baout going OUTSIDE i think its a longshot but i really do think you should. Their are also people called Freinds that can also make going outside much more enjoyable. I know NY is a bit of a shithole at times but still that should't stop you xD
