Found out about this yesterday, been using pvp plugins and they're a pretty big help. Going to test out some of the pvm plugins soon.

Think this is a difficult subject on trust because anything could happen. If this is verified and safe it would only be a matter of time before Jagex took action on some of the plugins.

 

You're amongst a black-market community. No one cares about jagex. I just wanna make sure its clean and im not going to lose anything

 

It's open source, the launcher, the client, everything. With very little effort you can copy our net.runelite.client.rs and plugins packages into a fresh copy of RuneLite, update the WidgetID's Varps etc and it'll run off our bytecodePatcher. You can see all the injection modifications we put into the client as source code in the transformers package. we don't hide anything.

 

I dont know too much about coding myself and really havent looked into it. Dont think im trying to attack you, just wanna make sure its afe to use ill try it out tonight when i get home

 

I feel the exact same way, let me know how it goes. I'm not super knowledgeable when it comes to hacking and coding etc etc, so I refrain from using programs until verified

the only way you can tell if this client is safe is if you check it yourself, just because you rely on someone whos trusted in the community to safe its safe doesnt confirm anything, they could be in on the plan to hack your account (im not saying this client ill but theoretically speaking), and at any time they could update the client to contain malicious code, the only way for you verify its safe is if you check every update and every line of code in the repo, by trusting someone who said this client is safe, doesnt remove the risk, it just shifts where you're placing your trust, this goes for literally every single client, including the vanilla runelite, just because its open source doesn't mean its safe, it wouldn't be hard for runelite to be running a separate client that contains malicious code that they remove before updating there repo, or even have the malicious code in their de obfuscation code that isnt public anymore, or even in any of the .dlls that runelite downloads upon first use, the same goes for this client

Client doesn't even respond when opening, seems very weird.

 

I don't think this is safe I saw some very odd connections when checking on wireshark that I did not see on the regular runelite client

 

Vouch! This has some OP plugins but lacks some on the pvp side, discord supporters are awesome too.

 

this. Exilent is better than this for pvp, but I do like the spec bar on every weapon though.
