mayweather vs mcgregor

I think Mayweather is going to win because they're playing by his rules. Guy is too fast.

 

Definitely agree with you on that. Obviously if it was MMA Floyd would get destroyed, but boxing is a whole different sport, and Floyd is the master at it. He's 49-0, and sure he might be old, but when has Connor McGregor ever professionally boxed? I'm not saying he has no chance, but the odds of him winning are extremely low, and for obvious reasons. If he gets a couple good hits on Floyd, then he could probably have a chance to win, but back to Syfiends point, he's just to quick in the ring.

Honestly, i respect that Mayweather has the odds from experience, but Mcgregor is just all in it. In his head he thinks of nothing but the win, he's an animal.

as a mma follower I would obviously rather be seeing Conor fight Furgeson, Khabib or Nate.

However the fight is happening so need to just enjoy it for the spectacle it will be.

One thing I have learnt is never to doubt Conor, whatever he says has happened so far. Why can't Conor win...

 

Yeah Mcgregor has no chance. After seeing Manny Pac get screwed yet again you can tell boxing is a bought and paid for sport with crooked judges.

Only way Mcgregor wins this is by knocking him out.

I think people underestimate Connors game, both in the ring and outside. If you watch some of the press conferences Floyd is shook and thats not a good mentality to fight in. Floyd is the greatest defensive boxer of all time but I don't think anyone he has fought can take the abuse nor dish it out like Connor can. If it makes it out of the fourth round I believe Floyd will take it in points, but the first few rounds are going to be very interesting imo, even if Floyd keeps tagging him his punches are weak, he himself has admitted to loosing the punching power of his youth in an interview nearly a decade ago. His last KO against Ortiz (6 years ago) was due to a suckerpunch, the guy was apologizing for an accidental headbutt and Floyd hit him with his hands down while he was saying sorry and glanced away.. (which was/is legal since the time was still going but absolutely classless.) That makes his last legitimate KO 18 years ago and none of them were out cold like Connors typical KO's.

If Floyd drops his hands for a second or tries to block the body shots that are surely coming his way he is in big trouble. Connor has a power/strength advantage, chin advantage, cardio avantage, reach advantage, youth and unortodox/hard to train for style all going for him. The only way I see Floyd winning is if it goes to decision and Connor doesn't typically let that happen.

For the record i'm not a McGregor fanboy, I genuinely believe the last Diaz fight to of been won by Nate (again) but Dana White and the bulk of the UFC doesn't like the Diaz brothers and has more or less been trying to push them out for years so it went the way of their golden goose.

 

I think we all want McGregor to win, but Mayweather runs boxing and will find a way to win by points.
