What are some good ways to train magic with combat?

I've looked around and I haven't found any decent guides or suggestions for training magic economically using combat. I tried blue dragons with fire bolt but the kill rate was slow and the xp was still only 20k/hour. Then I tried iron dragons which gave 30k/hr but took a good 4 minutes per kill which was even more painful. I'm considering trying ice warriors next, but I'm looking for any suggestions. I'm okay with breaking even if the xp is decent, or losing 2-5 gp/xp if the xp is good to great. My magic level is only 67 but feel free to suggest options for later.

I would say to get and Iban staff and go back to blue drags in taverly dungeon;plus if you have the agility lvl for the obstacle that makes it more efficient. Iban staff can also be upgraded if you have the reqs.If you still don't like the idea of blue drags, you could always do barrows. You get a fair amount of runes from the chests which can be funded for and Iban staff or regular spells, and ofc the possibility of getting barrows items. Final suggestion would be killing lesser demons. They also drop a fair amount of runes and some alchables. Hope this helped =)

I was considering getting an Iban staff since I've seen people with those at blue dragons. With the cost of deaths being similar to blood, what is the lure to Iban's over elemental waves? I've actually been ranging the dragons at the heroes guild. Games necklace + ring of dueling makes banking take almost no time. I should have mentioned in the original post that I'm a void pure, would barrows still be a viable option? I havent tried lesser demons. If they primarily drop stack/alch items I'd like not having to leave for extended periods of time.

It seems like the 2 blood runes per cast would make this a fairly expensive method?

Man, that is a lot of clicking :/ . I haven't been using bots, I'm assuming that is the only way to stay sane with this method?

Once you hit 75, you can fire wave wyvwrns. Most people do this with smoke battlestaff, ahrims, occult, and tome of fire. It's profitable and fairly decent xp.
