Punishment for botting?

I keep hearing different stories about the bans etc, from perma bans to 2 day bans. I want to do air orbs on my main to get 94 magic, if I get caught will it be a perm ban or a temp ban?

 

Havent seen a lot of two day bans, they can happen obviously but more than likely, you will get permed.
If you value your main, dont bot on him.

 

Well I can tell you this much; I botted for about 14 hours in one day on an account that has never had any major infractions and is a much older account, they hit me with a permanent ban without hesitation. Was members and wasn't even farming gold, just training combat.

Perms bans all day long

 

If you're goldfarming then you will get perm banned but if you bot on a main for combat xp you will get a 2 day ban... and if you bot again you will get permed.

I botted for 6 hours on a level 3 for fun on members and got perm banned

 

It's really hard to say. I would say you would most likely get a perm ban (air orbs is a popular goldfarming method, so it has a higher ban rate). That's just my opinion though.

 

Just AFK splash its slow but you won't regret it a month from now.

Things like autoclicking are more of a 2 day ban, if you are using a bot that moves, withdraws from bank and everything thats more on the perm side. I say you can easily get away with autoclick alching

 

You can get permanently banned for both, so I wouldn't risk it if it's your main account.

Most likely a temp ban. Jagex usually temporarily bans for 1st time botting offences on main accounts.

 

A high possibility you'll get perm banned for botting. Don't risk it.

 

Jagex usually gives you a chance if you botted using your main.

 

I think it also depends if you were recently caught with banning or not...
Typically the first ban will range from 48hours-2 days!

 

If you're not goldfarming and it's not multiple accounts, almost always it's a 48 hour first offense. Perm second. Don't push your luck.

 

Please.. you can really mis-lead people like this.

Do not risk accounts that you may not want to lose, whether or not you get a 48 hour or perm is not controllable.

I've seen enough people get banned on their mains (perm) a few hours in. It's not worth it if you don't want to lose the account.

literally just no... would you tell that to all the people that have been permed on their vet mains for hours of botting?

 

Would you say the opposite to the people who got 2 day banned on their mains for botting? I can cherry pick, too. Doesn't really get OP any closer to an answer. Given as nobody has collected the statistics and information we need on every single person who has been banned for botting to be able to determine with 100% accuracy the answer to this question, nobody can truly know the answer. However, we can take the ban reports we see coming in and estimate based on that, which almost always shows non-goldfarming mains getting 2-days before perms.
