So... RS3 dead man mode..?

 

In a way, there's no loss of xp on death though, and some other changes.

Hey guys, there are some similarities to Deadman mode, such as the open PvP and the cities with guards in, but otherwise they are very different. Deadman mode is much more harsh with the death mechanics and will play very differently. Here are some of the key differences.
Deadman Mode * 50% loss of XP on death * Raid your victims’ banks * Membership needed to access * Anyone can attack anyone * World layout remains unchanged
Darkscape * No loss of XP on death * Banks and GE’s are local, not world wide * Access is free but members get: (Double bank space, Double XP gain, Double items kept on death) * Wilderness level restrictions are in place in some areas * Higher level resources are in more dangerous areas

Looks pretty cool, might try it out, but once Deadman mode comes out on osrs i'll be playing that solely.

 

shitty graphics, if it had 07 graphics or rsc graphics, i'd be interested.

 

It's obvious the RS3 team is running out of ideas thats why they are taking pages out of the 07 book ^_^

 

It's a sandbox mode? So no new market?

 

The graphics are just a quality of life thing. They aren't really inportant. It doesn't change the fact that there is an ability bar that you can mash and preform better than legacy combat users.

 

There is no EoC combat, but only Legacy combat.
You can still use the new interface, but the combat is all in Legacy mode

 

Got on for 5 minutes, extreme server lag. Will probably try again later tonight.

 

Can you trade with other players on Darkscape? Is there a wealth transfer limit?

 

Yes you can trade with other players, dont think there is any point going into the market seeing as there is no safe zone whatsoever, you go to trade a customer 10M or something and get killed by another player (could even be their alt acc) and you'd still owe the customer the money, not worth the risk (in my opinion) seeing as you can be attacked everywhere

 

Looks interesting. No xp loss on death? Not sure how I feel about that.

 

I just heard about it from my clan mates and I thought they were trying to phish me, so I came on Sythe to ask if anyone has heard about it and sure enough there's a thread! So here I come deadman baby!

 

How much would max darkscape account go for? thoughts guys?

going to be a very very very long time before an abby whip or something along those lines enters the game lol

 

Bit too early to be thinking about that but considering members get 1.5x XP rates it might go for cheaper than usual, then again you have to gauge the difficultly of training on dark-scape, so maybe more expensive. Depends if there is any demand for it though, which I think there will be.
